While we await J.J. Abrams' Star Trek, the enterprising fans at Sputnik Animation have cobbled together a trailer for the Trek movie we really want to see.
It's on YouTube. (Thanks to Ain't It Cool News for the heads up!) You can watch it after the jump.
See if you can guess where the voice clips came from! We hear Anchor Man, 40-Year-Old Virgin, Wedding Crashers ...

Dumb.

Beyond stupid. People with talent should use it.

that was hilarious! If you're a fan of the original series and you remember the episodes that they used in this animation you'll appreciate the humor a lot more.

As awful as that was, at least it was funny. That makes it better than the upcoming movie will be.

I don't know who this "Sputnik" character or characters think they are but they have another thing coming. It's bad enough we got one director buying into this whole "multiple universe" crap, now we have some random jerk plugging in clips from mainstream comedies into TOS episodes. There is no way the silicon creature from "Devil in the Dark" would attack a man like that. Not unless he attacked first. It's unbelievable. It's also highly unlikely, even in a "Marvel mash-up" kind of way that Seth Rogen would ever be on the bridge. We already have X-men gladhanding with Picard and crew. I can't believe this movie is coming out. They really should poll all the fans first. I'd rather watch another Wayans Bros. spoof.

The only one I could see that was not mentioned was Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back..
