I really wish they would not leave these huge gaping gaps in between season halfs. They need to write some more episodes and be more consistent as for time slots etc. The way they do it now is annoying and you get to the point where you just don't want to bother watching the show. They do this with all SciFi channel shows, not just Eureks...

Carter will only stop being sheriff when the show is over, if then. Eureka is not the type of show to make any real earth-shattering changes (and I say that even after a recent character death).

I love her already. This could be the only female newcomer, I might actually like. She has great chemistry with Jack already.

I agree with sparrownightmare! I cannot WAIT until the new episodes begin, but wonder just WHY they can't put an entire season together and then let us enjoy the re-runs in the summer! And what about The Dresden Files? That was very interesting!

Please, please bring back Eureka soon. It's the best program besides GhostHunters that SciFi has.

Dresden files? The shows were only "very loosely" connected with the wealth of action and enjoyment that is the book series... way too many things "simplified" or "adjusted" for TV... which is why the viewership lost interest...

If you are looking for someone to blame for the mid-season hiatus affecting so many shows - blame the writers guild and their strike - it screwed up funding for many programs, causing episode limitations or, in the case of Eureka - shifting some episodes to a new season and sliding the funding there to support them as well...

Unlike everyone else I'm happy they're keeping this going even though it should have started already/should be starting soon. I'm happy it's staying around unlike the 4400 which I upset about when they cliff hung it after season 4

I wonder if anyone at SciFi reads these? I've seen at least a hundred posts and still no response from the network. What a sorry way to treat the show's fans. Even my 10 yr son has said whatever. I've just given up checking to see if this and other SciFi shows will return. I figure they will come back some day and I'll find out by checking Hulu (as the Hulu commercial with Alex Baldwin is playing) or the torrents.

This show is amazing. The only reason I watched TV on Tuesdays, honestly. They WILL be coming back, for those of you whom may not think so, they have already filmed the episodes....Why wouldn't they air them? Even if it WAS canceled, they'd still air the episdes and generate the ad revenue they could get from the shows..Just hope they don't wait til the fans quit looking and then they never hear when it's back on and don't watch and there go the damned ratings, which unfortunetly are what keep shows on...Not the actual quality of shows, if we did that, WCW would still be on, john cena would be gone and ""Reality TV"" would be gone, too..

I agree! I can't wait for Eureka to start up again! At least we finally got some news that it is coming back. We were starting to think it had been cancelled! It is a great family show which there aren't too many on anymore!

I'm delighted to hear Eureka is returning though sad to see the season ended; I had hoped we'd get a second half. I hope that means the DVD will becheaper...

And yes, I hope they do explain a bit how Carter is back in his old position even though it is no surprise.

What I hate is the idiocy of having Allison pregnant. That was unneccessary and really stupid. We are waiting for the Allison-Carter relationship to bloom and this is a silly impediment, especially since in the AU Allison was having Carter's baby. I didn't want Eureka to become as stupid as Smallville with love triangles and baby nonsense. Let's keep it smart; go back in time, whatever, and undo the baby nonsense.

It is also really bad to kill Stark; he was a necessary and enjoyable counterpoint to Jack and while it was stupid to even get him back together with Allison, it was till great to see him spar with Jack.

So bring back Stark and dump the baby.

Though no one's commented in awhile, I just want to say, I'm glad Eureka IS coming back as well as Carter!! The show would fade without him! He is what makes the show hilarious!! :-D
