Is a Jericho movie in the works?
Jon Turteltaub, one of the executive producers of CBS' defunct Jericho, told iF Magazine that he and his partners are developing a feature-film version of the post-apocalyptic series.
"We're developing a feature for Jericho," Turteltaub told the magazine. "It would not require you to have seen the TV show, but it gets into life after an event like this on a national scale. It would be the bigger, full-on American version of what's going on beyond the town in Jericho."
Jericho starred Skeet Ulrich and Ashley Scott and told the story of the survivors in a small Kansas town of a nuclear attack on the United States. Canceled by CBS after a lackluster first season, the show came back for a short second season after the network acceded to a massive fan campaign—involving the mailing of tons of peanuts. When the ratings failed to improve, the show ended with a series finale that wrapped up the storyline.
Turteltaub, who also directed many of the series' episodes, added that he hopes to get the cast back. "Oh yeah!" he said. And would it be a huge budget? "Anything would be a huge budget compared to what we were dealing with," he said. "If we had $40 million to make a movie with, that's 20 times more than we did before."

This is great news , the show was getting pretty good at the end there and it would be nice to get a wrap up movie..check in on my peeps and that hot blond.

Great news. I really hope they can pull this off. Who knows, if they can and the movie is successful, it might mean a return of the TV show.

A Jericho movie would be great. Another season would be better but I am truly so excited about this cannot wait to see it

YAY! JERICHO!!! This was such an original and unique show, I was so disappointed when I heard of its termination, I was in disbelief. Get rid of the trash reality tv and give shows like Jericho a chance. I would take more seasons on tv or a movie. Im sure the cast and crew will bring us a great story. Thanks to them for Jericho. And thanks to all the Rangers!

What a Shame CBS selling nuts to put back Jericho and a little more they were going us make donation for them. Since they stop the season of Jericho I stopped watching CBS this is the only way that they understand. Peoples have to know that it’s us who decide what we like not CBS. At the place of the creator of the series I will move Jericho from CBS to FOX.

When my wife and I saw that last episode of JERICHO where the Union (Texas) came through for America, our fanaticism for the show tripled. Yes! to a full length movie and Yes! to more TV episodes and Yes! to FOX instead of CBS. We still have all the episodes on our DVR so we can memorize them.

OMG Jericho was so good. My whole family, and everyone we know loved the show. We were all so dissapointed when it was canceled. CBS jerks! What were they thinking?! I loathe reality TV. I bought the series on disk so I can watch it anytime I like, but I'd love to see a film and definitely would support a renewing of the series on FOX.
