Dear Kristin Kreuk - I think you are a wonderful actress, but I would really ask that you reconsider coming back to Smallville. In your own words you stated that you were through with the show and that you thought the producers left your character in a good place. She even got a "heroic send off" even though a lot of people would say that she didn't deserve one. Your contract was up and you decided to leave. Fans of other characters, Clark's, Chloe's, Lois's, etc, don't want their spotlight taken away by your character. Even though Lana started off as a great character, by season 5 she started to really get boring and repetitative. You see a lot of hate towards this character because people are exhausted with the constant "Dawson's Creek" drama that your character brings with it. Right now it seems that Superman fans are finally getting what they want, Clark being a hero and thinking for himself, Clark getting very close to becoming Superman and even Lois Lane finally getting close to the man that she will some day marry. Other characters like Chloe and Jimmy are getting more prominent roles. Having you back in Smallville, althoug a nice gesture to your fans, would really make the rest of the SV fans cringe and just be very unhappy. Again, most of us don't dislike you, Kristin, but your character is just godawful. You've even expressed how you don't like some of what Lana has done. So I ask you, why put us all through more of this stuff? You're tired. We're tired. Just take your graceful exit and be done with it. Thank you and good luck with your future projects!

This latest development in the Smallville Saga, as I know like to call it, is pretty upsetting to a lot of people. We don't mean any offense to the actress, Ms. Kristin Kreuk, but her character has run it's course and now it's time to allow other characters to grow. I don't understand this whole "yo-yo" business. First Kristin says she want to leave. Then she says she's coming back. Then she says in an article (BuddyTV 12.17.08) that she will not be back for another season. And now she says that she will be back for the finale. I don't understand. Your character already has closure. Why come back???? Trust me when I say that the majority of fans are happy that Lana finally got some closure. Why bring her back and then just start up new story lines that may never be properly developed or that may taint the character?

Enough is enough. You left the show so why come back for the series finale? Let your cast and friends have the ending that they deserve. Your character isn't wanted or needed. Again, you are a great person and what you do for young girls is great, but don't go back on your word. You said this was it. That you would not return. Why go back and forth?

I personally love Lana Lang and of course Kristin Kreuk, so if she decides to return to the show I am all for it! I became a huge fan of the show when it first began, and it was in large part due to the incredible chemistry of the original cast. I would love to see the main characters/actors return for one final farewell and see their characters come full circle that stemmed from that AWESOME beginning they all shared! In the mean time I am going to enjoy these next few episodes with KK/Lana in them!

Lana was already back for one episode and she completely made Clark into an idiot again. Kristin already came back for 5 episodes. Why more? I don't see the logic in it either as most people haven't. Clark already has everything he could want in both Chloe and Lois. Lana is extraneous material at this time.

Lana is one of the reasons why Smaville was so bad. Now that it's good why bring this stupid character back? My favorite character is Clark Kent. I have never shipped any of this "clana" or "chlark" or "clois" stuff. I've pretty much just stayed with the show because of Clark and Clark alone. I stopped watching season 7 because of Lana and then came back when I heard that she was gone. If there is a season 9 and she returns, I'm gone again. It's that simple. Bring Lana and lose viewers.

I love Lana (i.e., Kristen K). I stopped watching smallville when Lana (Kristen left the show). But now she's back, I watch the show again. She's the only reason I watch Smallville.

Lana is done with the show. We have Lois now. They will stick with some of the original storyline so Lana & Clark are not together. It would be nice, but then what is Lois Lane's purpose. They will end the show and eventually transition to the big screen. Lois is a much better character and the chemistry between her and Clark will keep the show going strong. Long live Lois!! Sorry Lana.

I hope to see Lana back again because other actress can't make TW as good as she does, I also believe in the character (take a look on this season), just forget the crazy screenwriters. I hope they replace SV for a new series about the Justice League. After all, while we are fighting between Clois and Clanas, we are seeing Clark his others L.L. girls. Any REAL fan from Smallville would love to see Lana back. The reason I never really got into the whole Superman thing (BEFORE Smallville) was because of Lois Lane. Smallville was and is in my opinion a proper potrayal of Clark Kent aka Kal-El, and eventually becoming Superman.

I've been a smallville fan since the show came out. Followed up until Kristin left. I havent watched it since. Lana needs to come back for the series finale! For me, Lana Lang was a perfect match for Clark Kent, but Superman is written that ends with Lois Lane. In my opinion, LANA IS THE BEST and I would love to return to the series but not as Clark's girlfriend but as friends and fighting for the good of humanity.
