Great more reality crap on the so-called "Sci Fi" channel. I guess 13 more episodes of Stargate Atlantis would be too much to ask for. I guess the network needs to save some money so they can bring us more crappy creature features on Saturday night.

DEAR GOD! WHY!? Why!? This is one of the lowest rated original shows on the channel! In 2007 The Dresden Files was the third highest rated show of The Scifi Channel. I loved it. But they canceled that after just twelve episodes and they keep this crap going! There's a survey up on amazon.com's Scifi channel store page on "Favorite Scifi Channel show" and this show got ZERO votes.

Are they out to make us all vomit in disgust?!

'SCI FI Channel has renewed its investigative reality hit Destination Truth'

The ONLY thing making it a 'hit' is the fact that there is NOTHING else to choose from. Sure there's Sanctuary but Doctor Who is on hold, Stargate is gone, Battlestar Galactica is ending, The Dresden Files wasn't continued...

If you only give people garbage of course they'll tell you what their favourite piece of refuse is out of the selection!

I think I can say we are all sick of reality shows, have been for almost a decade. There was even a 1992 episode of Forever Knight called "Unreality TV." That's how long this rubbish has been shoved in our faces.

The budget for just two of these 'Scifi Reality' shows could have given us fans a half-way decent continuation of The Dresden Files or the Scifi Channel's first GOOD made for TV movie.

Instead we get more trash like this, more un-real reality shows, more made for TV movies about giant insects or Earthquakes, and more professional wrestling. The Scifi Channel has seriously lost it's way.

I like Gates, I think he is entertaining, but yeah, the show is pretty much crap.

I hate every single one of the Sci Fi channels reality series. I especially hate Ghost Hunters and Destination Truth. Ghost Hunters is about a bunch of jerks who go looking for ghosts and then run screaming from the room when the ghosts show up. Then what they do? They claim that they never saw a ghost. It's clone, Destination Truth is about a jerk who used to be a real archeologist running around looking for monsters. When he finds a monster he goes running like a scared baby. And is it just me or does the show's host sound just like Kermit the Frog?

Ghosthunters are a joke.

It annoys me to no end when I told relatives of what class I was taking and I'd get comments back to the extent of "You can tell us about your honorary membership to TAPS later." TAPS is a complete and utter sell-out that only vaguely resembles real paranormal research. You want a respected paranormal investigative society? Trust the SPR (London) or ASPR (New York) but do NOT trust TAPS. TAPS is like a dreary fashion trend in paranormal research. It's a joke. They began seemingly objective as amatuers who actually had an intrest in the subject. But as the show progressed it became more formulaic. First they tried to make them seem like seasoned experts when they're not. They're plumbers who came up with an idea already done by actual researchers, spiritualists, occultists and scientists who dedicated their lives to exploring the unknown. There's nothing wrong with amateur paranormal research. I'm not an elitist but don't lie about what it is. The dramatic pause as they check their results and we get "Woah! Did you hear that? Did you hear that?!" leading into a commercial break is tired. It's enough to make me wince.

If you watch Ghosthunters from the beginning there's a really offensive early episode where one of them spots a trinket box in someone's home with a Wiccan Pentacle drawn on it and they automatically assume it's evil and or attracting negative forces. ...The Hell!? Do they know anything about the occult... at all? And their reactions are as over the top as those you see on The Travel Channel's Most Haunted. "AGGH! AHHH! Did you hear that?! DID YOU HEAR THAT?!" And then these "experts" go running in a stumbling panic because they heard a small creaking sound or someoen felt a little cold air. And these are seasoned paranormal investigators?!? Please! You learn to keep cool, calm and collected. These shows are enough to make someone who actually studied the subject flinch in embarrassment.

Soon there is going to be a Ghosthunters spin off where they take college kids on these expeditions. This will dig the real paranormal researchers even further into the hole. Where's Hans Holzer when you need him? The sad fact is many people who believe in the paranormal fall for these charlatans with these gimmicky TV shows. It's how John Edwards got his following.

Not everyone interested in the supernatural is this naive...

I really liked the show, because they go to different places in the world and interact with those cultures. Josh makes the show entertaining, comedy, and suspenseful.

Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who. These shows SUCK. Have you guys ever watched shows like Star Trek? How about the original Twilight Zone? Ever heard of X-Files? THESE were great sci-fi shows. The fiction shows on the Sci-fi Channel are pure DRECK. Pure cheeseball lines and the plots are ridiculous and stupid. Ghost Hunters and Destination Truth may not be great but at least they are trying to scientifically look into real mysteries. Hell, even Lost is ten times better than shows like Stargate Antlantis ever was. Stop acting like these shows are as good as the great sci-fi shows of times past. They aren't even close.

i like the show because the only other show like that is monsterquest and even though i watch it, it kinda sucks. to be honest that show is the only way i will even turn it to sci-fi that babylon and star shit is gayer than any shows on tv

I love this show. It's fun to watch and sometimes they do catch things they can't explain. As to Ghost Hunters. TAPS is a well known group. They have always done a great service. Yes they do mostly famious places now but I believe that's at SciFi's request. The TAPS family (a group of other investigative teams) do investigations that are lower key and aimed at helping the public. I'm not part of the TAPS family but I lead a team and we DO help people. Just food for thought.

this show is great but the truth of it all even if they did find something .the goverment wouldnt let them put it on the air.it alsowould be nice if the show would give them more time at each location what do you expect to find in a couple of days.

Destination Truth is an awesome show, and I love Ghost Hunters as well, GHI not so much, but I can watch it. To all the haters out there, no one is forcing you to watch anything. People have been looking for these "mysteries" for centuries, do you actually expect them to uncover the holy grail on cable tv? It's not about the results, it's about the voyage, and it just happens to be extremely entertaining to watch.
If you don't like it, don't watch it, go write your "I hate Syfy" blogs and leave those of us who actually take the time to enjoy the show alone.

Since I watch the first time Destination Truth I could not believe the nature of this program is so amazing, great stuff. I always like the myths, legends, the supernatural, thing like that. I'm glad you are coming back. Keep the good work and stay always.

I'm so glad that Destination Truth is back; I can't believe all the negative comments on here. You don't like the show, don't watch. I love to watch Ghost Hunters, too. They don't run like babies, but I will agree with the person who talked about the Travel Channel's Most Haunted people running and screaming. I watch the show because I watch everything about the paranormal but it cracks me up how scared they are, the screams, etc when THAT'S WHAT THEY WENT THERE FOR. I would like to see them get a bit braver but I'll keep watching. They have come up with some bizarre evidence regardless if they scream or not.

I'm glad this is coming back. I think the show is a good mix of entertainment and "reality". Josh has a great and amusing personality which really adds to the show. GHI is an incredibly boring show by comparison so I'm glad to hear this is coming back. I was worried that GHI (yawn) was going to displace DT.

The only reason DT is popular is because Josh Gates is hilarious. It should be on TBS in my opinion. Ghost Hunters is good too. However, GHI is pure bull

I don't know why everyone has to be such a hater. I personally love DT and Ghost Hunters. And I hate Stargate and Doctor Who. I have had plenty of shows I love be canceled while others remained on the air that I think are worthless but that's life. It's just a TV show. Hi from a new fan in Arizona. Just discovered your show Destination Truth with Josh Gates on Hulu.com and love it! I will continue to follow this fun and exciting show through the web until we hopefully one day get Sci fi wire on t.v. It 's great to view all the remote places that Josh and crew travel to throughout the world and experience the setbacks and dangers they go through to make this show. Also, couldn't help but fall in love with Josh, who is the right mix of good looking, smarts and hillariously funny...a real life Indiana Jones! Thanks Destination Truth and hope you're around for a long time!

I like Josh Gates but I want to see a more scientific investigation then they give us. When they are about to solve the mystery they always prematurely jet back to California with skimpy evidence and no real conclusion. If only they stayed in the field a couple days longer they might have that conclusive evidence.
I hate inconclusive stories.
