Christopher Nolan's next is the sci-fi Inception—not a Batman movie
Christopher Nolan has set up his next project with Warner Brothers, an original sci-fi screenplay he wrote called Inception, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The Dark Knight director hopes to shoot the action film in the summer for a release during summer 2010, the trade paper reported.
Nolan will produce with partner Emma Thomas, who served as a producer on The Dark Knight.
Inception is described as "a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind."
This pushes back any potential filming on a new Batman film.

well he did one movie between begins and dark knight so i guess he doing the same here maybe.i trust he will do a 3rd batman movie but after that i think he will definately be done.but heres to baman 3 in 2012...hopefully!

Did you see that? "an original sci-fi screenplay"?? What is this world coming to - an original story?? What is he thinking?? Why waste time with originality when he could be "rebooting" somebody elses already made movie?? I am aghast!!!

I am glad Nolan is making another movie before he becomes that guy who makes Batman movies. I think he proved his point: Batman works as a relatively realistic crime drama. It's time to hand the director's reins over to someone else, take Batman in another direction.
