Mark Valley, late of Fox's Fringe, has been tapped as the lead in Fox's sci-fi drama pilot Human Target for director Simon West, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Target, from Warner Brothers TV, DC Comics and McG's Wonderland, is based on the DC Comics title and centers on Christopher Chance (Valley), a mysterious security freelancer who assumes the identities of those in danger, becoming the "human target" for his clients.
Valley played the traitorous deceased FBI Agent Scott on Fringe, whose storyline was resolved in last week's episode.

Now they just need to cast him as Steve Rogers/Captain America.

I think he'd be a great Captain America, but he might be a bit to old at 44 years.

I think he will be fine in the role. However, does anyone else remember this will be the *second* live action version of the Human Target? The first--short lived--version was in 1992, was created by the same folks who gave us The Rocketter and The Flash and starred Rick Springfield in the title role and ran for 7 episodes on ABC.

I remember that show. I had a crush on his female assistant.

Totally agreed, Technoir -- I'm still holding on to the pipe dream Valley will get to be Steve Rogers. Chances are slim if he ends up working for DC :(
