John Cusack to channel inner teen in \<i\>Hot Tub Time Machine\<\/i\>

John Cusack and Rob Corddry have boarded the MGM sci-fi comedy Hot Tub Time Machine, while Craig Robinson and Clark Duke are in negotiations to also star in the movie, being directed by Steve Pink, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The script, by Josh Heald, follows a group of guys who have grown frustrated with their adult lives. They return to the ski lodge where they partied as teens to find answers and are transported to 1987 via their hot tub.

Cusack, Corddry and Robinson are the three best friends, while Duke is Cusack's younger brother. Pink is polishing the script in order to play to each comedian's strengths.

Cusack is producing with partner Grace Loh via their New Crime banner. Matt Moore also is producing. An April 20 start date in Vancouver, Canada, is being eyed.

How sad for John Cusack he used to make great movies and even great dumb movies like better off dead, Now he just goes for the check! Talk about a lost star why not make gross point 2 . That would be at least good. not this straight to dvd.

Actually, I've always been impressed with John Cusak's ability to pick a good script. Part of it might be a good agent, and the other is that he's a good actor and can usually take mediocre material to the next level. I wouldn't count him out yet. Let's wait and see how the flick comes out.
