Since you've got so much money and don't really need all those Terminator 2 DVDs and Blu-rays you already have, you can surely afford yet another special edition.
Lionsgate will release Terminator 2 Skynet Edition, a new Blu-ray version of the classic sci-fi movie, on May 19, featuring multiple THX-certified high-definition versions of the film, an all-new 6.1 audio mix and more than eight hours of interactive special features.
The single-disc release will be available with a suggested retail price of $29.99.
The Terminator 2 Skynet Edition Blu-ray—timed to coincide with the release of McG's upcoming Terminator Salvation on May 22—will also be available for a limited time as part of a Limited Edition T2 Complete Collector's Set, a six-disc set that also collects the Extreme Edition DVD and Ultimate Edition DVDs.
Packaged with a 14-inch T-800 endoskull, whose eyes light up as it plays sound effects from the film, the Limited Edition T2 Complete Collector's Set compiles every T2 special feature released on DVD and includes a digital copy of the film for iTunes or Windows Media. This set will carry a suggested retail price of $174.99.
Both sets are being released to coincide also with the DVD release of the Schwarzenegger DVD Collection. The Terminator 2 Skynet Edition Blu-ray features the following materials:
♦THX-certified high-definition editions of both the theatrical and extended cuts of T2
♦All-new 6.1 DTS-HD Master Audio Lossless audio
♦Picture-in-picture behind-the-scenes video footage, text commentaries and multimedia galleries
♦Storyboard-script mode, in which viewers can see storyboards and read the script while watching the film
♦Interactive quizzes and games
♦BD-Live enabled games, extra content and more for Internet-connected players
♦Audio commentary with 26 cast and crew members
♦Audio commentary with director James Cameron and co-writer William Wisher
♦Enhanced for D-Box Motion Control Systems

Does anyone actually care about the hours and hours of special features?
I know I don't. just want to watch the film.
Nice try Lionsgate. But you won't be getting more of my money.

I'm perfectly happy with the DVDs I alreay have. Sick of the Special Unrated Director's Cut Enhanced DVD's. I'm not buying a Blue Ray player for a movie I already have and watch regularly!! Dang!!

Are they crazy? They want how much money... for the same dang movie? I could understand if there were never before seen scenes included, but the same extended version that's been released a bazillion times before? Ridiculous, they need to get a grip.

It never ceases to amaze me how some $2 plastic crap from China is supposed to justify insane price increases for retail DvDs. We laugh at Indians having sold Manhatten for some glass beads, but we are just the same.

I'm perfectly happy with my DVD version of the movie, and it plays very nicely on my Blue Ray player.

I still have T2 on VHS and I'm perfectly happy with it.

There will be a release next year, the year after that, and another year after that. The new Terminator movie is the first of a trilogy. We can expect T2 to get reissued with each of the new movie releases.

Are they crazy?! The country is broke! We're all rioting in the streets for money and killing each other off like in Road Warrior! The news said that we're all going to die or slowly starve because of this financial crisis!
I'll put it on my wish list on Amazon so I can buy it later. (after the food riots)
