A couple of viral sites and a new alternate-reality game linked to upcoming sci-fi TV and movies have gone live on the Web; here's a brief rundown.
♦The Institute for Human Continuity purports to prepare the world for a coming apocalypse; it's really touting Roland Emmerich's upcoming 2012.
♦Skynet Research is recruiting new employees—presumably to provide tissue and hair samples to create the killer cyborgs of McG's upcoming Terminator Salvation.
♦"Save Hazel" is a new alternate-reality game linked to Fox's new sci-fi drama Dollhouse; better log in quickly as the show may not be around very long.

Doll House is full of major flaws, but nowhere the "thank god" defunct Battlestar Galactica. How anyone could sit through a scene with James Olmos is beyond me.

Sci-fi Wire has done nothing but talk crap about Dollhouse for months now. I'm really starting to hate this site.

First, Battlestar Galactica is the best show known to mankind and Edward James Olmos rocks as Admiral Adama. Second, I saw Dollhouse and it wasn't that bad, its the first show so takes a little time to really get a show going. Third, Scifi has been kinda really juvenile when it comes to their headlines...seems lazy. They just use headlines like this to try and reel us in...sucks...

I've got to agree with the above comments about the negative press on Dollhouse. Round here, it's the most eagerly awaited show for 2009 and we were very excited to see it. The first episode was largely set up, which was a shame as it didn't have a decent hook. Too much time was spent trying to explain the high concept of the show (which, actually, is not that complicated). I wonder if Joss's original pilot was better. I bet it was.

I have to echo Echo's comments. This was the one show out of all the new shows this year that I really wanted to see. I didn't think it was as bad as many articles I've read made it out to be, in fact I really liked it.
I'm sure Sci Fi Wire would've had great things to say about Dollhouse if Dakota Fanning was in it!
