Doctorow, Le Guin, and McDonald - oh, my! What a wealth of reading even only in the novels.

[Thanks for posting about books and fiction. More please.]

Congratulations to Brad Wright on his nomination for Stargate ATlantis' 'The Shrine,' an excellent episode.

this list was all you knew about the science fiction and fantasy novels of mid-2007 to mid-2008, you'd have to say this was a very bad year indeed. But also in this period there were novels like Accidental Time Machine by Joe Haldeman, Axis by Robert Charles Wilson, Halting State by Charles Stross, The Dragons of Babel by Michael Swanwick, Matter by Iain M Banks, and at least a dozen more better than some of these. Not a bad tear afterall! The Nebula Award voting appears to get more disfunctional each year.
