I saw this movie. It wasn't bad but it looked as if they had to work around one of the cast members not being there. What amazes me is this show only lasted about a year from 2003 until 2004 and now five years later it has a made for DVD movie. I wish SciFi would do that for The Dresden Files.

I watched this movie too and it made me miss this cancelled show more and miss the characters I got to know in that short amount of time.

Great idea if The Dresden Files could continue as movies (a la Stargate). It would be better than those SciFi creature flick of the week I bet.

I wish they would bring this show back. My family never gets tired of watching the reruns. Someone ought to start a letter writing campaign. Why they kill shows like this is beyond me. Maybe George isn't the only one who got hit in the head with a toilet seat...

I recently watched this show for the first time and wow. It was wonderful. Why do most of the good ones get canceled (alas poor Firefly). at least it has found life after death (pun intended)

I agree Loved the show and am glad to see them bring it back in some form. They left this film pretty open at the end as well so maybe there is more to come a la Futurama's made for DVD movies. Too many great shows get the axe over corporate politics and the stations having no idea what the people want to see. not all of us enjoy vapid meaningless crap Like American Idol.

Actually. The Dresden files will be published in all it`s splendor as graphic novels. Both all the books (of which some where made into tv episodes) and new stories.

Regarding Dead Like Me, I think it got axed because Mandy Patinkin left.

This was the best show I just saw all the ep on netflix and then i saw the movie I know I will be getting the DVD's of the show I do miss Dead like me more and more I wish they would bring it back or do more DVD movies

Just saw the movie, loved it! I can't imagine that bringing back all of the original characters from a show that ended 5 years ago is easy, but I feel they did a good job replacing Daisy. I would love to see this made into a series again on Sci-Fi network, I would definitely be watching...

Dead like me is one of those few series that continues to have a loyal following years after the series ends. So when do we get the second movie? Also the comment about the Dresden FIles as a series of movies on Sci Fi is a great idea.

I loved the movie too and thought they did a good job @ bringing the cast back together. I hope they bring the series back cause it was a really good show and i still know a lot of people @ college who know it and still talk about it and watch the reruns in the lounge. so the following is still there.

I am thrilled that the movie is out. I definately plan to buy it. I cast my vote (as well as 4 others from my family) for the show. It was far too short lived for such a good show. Scifi...start the show up again. The reruns are great, but we want the rest of the story and more.

I agree. Dresden Files really needs several made of Sci-Fi Channel/direct to DVD movies to continue what was started. Would also like this done to Journeyman also.

Sci-Fi could not bring this back (UNFORTUNATELY) simply because some of what made this show great was the fact it was edgy, a lot of that edge had to do with language. Showtime would need to pick it up. It would not be the same if Rube, Mason, and Roxy didnt swear .. for entirely different reasons and effects! This was by far, one of the better written shows to come along in a very long time. I wish it would be brought back, and I hope Rube is in the next one, I really missed him in this one!

I just saw the "Life After Death" movie last night and loved it, but it made me miss the show I still talk about even though it's been a while since it was on. I just loved this show and would be religious about tuning in if it was back on the air. Great characters, great writing, great actors, great premise.... Win win win win!!!! Please please bring it back!!!
