10 games to help you get over Battlestar Galactica

10 games to help you get over \<i\>Battlestar Galactica\<\/i\>

Well, it's Friday. You probably have a little extra time in your entertainment schedule tonight. ...

Whatever you thought of the conclusion to Battlestar Galactica, one thing is certain: it's over. Now what? Pore over earlier episodes for clues leading to the revelations at the end? Maybe you want to try to piece together The Plan. Will Caprica be a suitable replacement? Maybe queue up some Farscape or Babylon 5 DVDs? Or should you hang your hopes on the Star Trek reboot? Of course, like any self-respecting sci-fi nerd, you've probably considered turning to video games to fill the void. In which case, our sister site FIDGIT is here to help.

Well Ron Moore is not done yet he forgot the red stripe centurians the ones the colonials and skin jobs let do there own thing what happened to them will they return what happened to them he left a few lose ends he needs to fix

I like that you have no punctuation in your comment, Unicron, makes it fun to read

By 13th Cylon at 12:51 PM ON 03/27/09

I had thought about that too Unicron, and punctuation or not you raise a good point. This was the one out that Moore left himself. But I think I know the answer already. The Red Stripes have been keeping tabs on us over the years. After all who do you think is leaving all the crop circles, mutilating cows, and abducting humans to perform horrible and unspeakable proctological exams? Yup you guessed it... the Red Stripe Centurions!

I would not be surprised in the least if in a few years, perhaps once Caprica finishes its run on SyFy (I feel dirty for not typing Sci-Fi) we will see a show from Ron Moore that explores that very premise… Battlestar Earth!

PS – For the record Justo, you need a period at the end or your comment about poor punctuation.

No need to fix it. It will all happen again, Maybe the next time we can actually get the "truth" they promised us. The truth is that Dirk Benedict is the Cylon God.

By Zagblorg at 1:12 PM ON 03/27/09

The truth is that Face Man is the Cylon god, Dirk Benedict is just his secret identity so they don't keep spamming him with prayer-phone calls.

"The truth is that Dirk Benedict is the Cylon God."

I can't access it right now, but according to some notes for Kobol's Last Gleaming here http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Main_Page, that was almost true.

Moore says that he intended to end the episode with having Six introduce Baltar to the Cylon God as played by Dirk Benedict.

http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/God_(RDM)#Official_statements

RDM noted in his podcast of "Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part II", that the original ending of Season One called for actor Dirk Benedict to appear to Baltar on Kobol and introduce himself as "God". Numerous prohibiting factors prevented this storyline from making it on camera, chief among them was Moore's confessed inability to write a feasible conclusion to the surprise revelation at the time. Another mitigating factor which influenced Moore to drop the idea was that when he revealed his idea to the other writers, the entire writing team found the idea simply revolting, so Moore acquiesced.

Hey sorry about the no puncuation. I was in a bit of a hurry.

By Farscaper at 3:39 PM ON 03/27/09

At least they remembered shows like Bab 5 and their own Farscape.

Are the 'God' references in this new BG (Baltar & 6 as 'angels', Starbuck) equivalent to the original series' Ship of Light?

By Michael Sacal at 4:19 PM ON 03/27/09

"Are the 'God' references in this new BG (Baltar & 6 as 'angels', Starbuck) equivalent to the original series' Ship of Light?"

That's my theory, and I hope we see it explored more in Caprica.

By VJASEditor at 4:45 PM ON 03/27/09

I'd like to think so.

The fact that Kara's Viper looked fresh and new seems to match up with the crisp white uniforms Apollo and Starbuck sported while on the Ship Of Light.

By Michael Sacal at 6:01 PM ON 03/27/09

"The fact that Kara's Viper looked fresh and new seems to match up with the crisp white uniforms Apollo and Starbuck sported while on the Ship Of Light."

And it's a reference to the last episode of Galactica 80, in which Starbuck became a being of light.
