I can't fracking wait for this, especially since we got no real understanding of the perspective of the "bad" cylons; Doral said nothing and Leoben barely said anything and they've always been brilliant! This should have been 6 hours! I really hope they make more because there are so many unexplored characters on BSG. Not promising this show a 5th season was the biggest mistake this network ever made because I'm very unhappy with the lack of political commentary that would have been allowed to surface if the show had been allowed to not so self-consciously be about finding earth or about the characters' prophesy. That stuff pales in comparison to suicide bombings and exploring the motives, so that viewers can understand these things and vote smarter, instead of repeating the cycle of violence with the Muslim world that was begun in the Cold War, though Bush would like people to believe that "they hate us for our freedoms."

Again, I can't wait!

To the authors of BSG , I loved your show !! The way BSG ended threw me ! We are so headed in the direction that BSG did. Mans lust for power, technology gone awry , with total disregard to life here on Earth. And the cycle just keeps going on & on. We are destroying ourselves. I think that BSG has it right.... we've been here before and if we dont change, Then we will be here again & again. I wish that everyone in the world could have seen the ending to BSG ...and see the parallels to our society today. Maybe this is what the authors of BSG wanted to get across to thier audience, maybe not, either way, this is what I take from this great show. So say we all

For crying out loud... It was just a TV show

By blue eyes at 9:12 AM ON 03/21/09

no,it wasn't just a show .thats what happens when you lose yourself totally in something .the only thing greater for me,is my wife and kids

By Mars at 9:20 AM ON 03/21/09

Seriously, take a few weeks break from television. Kirk is right... it's just a TV show. A though-provoking program, to be sure. But a television show nonetheless.

By okwajo at 9:37 AM ON 03/21/09

I agree with kirk, it was just a show, a great sci fi show, but as for loose ends, the directors should never be allowed to make another one. If it was not for the characters of adama and rosaline, I am not sure it would of made it this far. They definatly carried the show. The baltar character is the one that did it for me, he destroys the colonies, but is an angel. or demon, or something. hapened before will hapen again? Did not the chief have a kid, was he not also a cylon? what hapened to diana? whats with the opera house?

By nightwars at 9:39 AM ON 03/21/09

One of the best endings I have every seen. I also agree this is the way amnkind is heading. We need to to take a deep look at how we are as a people.

By Scott at 9:59 AM ON 03/21/09

I dunno, the BSG end and some of Caprica seems like there is quite a bit of Luddite ant-technology thought into it.

Technology can threaten lives. It can also enhance it. On the balance, technology is a good thing.

Anyone who does not agree should move into their hermit cave now.

By thanatos at 10:12 AM ON 03/21/09

"Just a TV show" "Just a Movie" "Only a book"

This just demonstrates that you haven't been paying attention. If you can't even offer a negative critique, you haven't been paying attention and aren't qualified to comment.

By bsgfan at 10:29 AM ON 03/21/09

Yes... It was just a TV show. But IMHO it was one of the most thought provoking science fiction TV shows to have aired in a long time. What a gem. Sorry to see it go. I think the ending was great. They answered a lot of questions but in true BSG spirit left a few loose ends.

By bigfathead at 11:08 AM ON 03/21/09

Perhaps the best written, directed tv show of its kind. Considering the junk on tv..and I mean horrible junk on tv...just amazing series.

You can tell the actors put their heart into this series..that makes the difference.

ok..so its a tv series. so what...I watching actors..not series

By Muldfeld at 1:13 PM ON 03/21/09

First, okwajo, all your answers are here, my friend:
http://featuresblogs.chicagotribune.com/entertainment_tv/2009/03/battlestar-galactica-daybreak-finale-moore-mcdonnell-olmos.html#more

Second, I think you guys are right about the criticism of modern society and this show is a better means of intelligently educating people than the bloody mainstream US media news that just perverts our minds and is helmed by the most superficial people, especially if you watch CNN and especially ABC News these days, let alone Fox News. The BBC is so much better.

I guess the criticism of modern living was justified, but I can't imagine living like that in the wilderness, giving up those creature comforts, and risking disease.

I also just wish it had been a more political message about the oneness of the cylons and humans and about breaking the cycle -- not of man creating sentient machines -- but of violence among peoples in which we are already trapped. The themes of resistance to empires and other institutions of control is a pertinent one to human history. The human insurgency on New Caprica didn't just have parallels to Israeli occupation of Lebanon and Palestine, but to Vichy France, the Vietcong resisting French and US control, the native Americans labeled "savages" for resisting white colonization, and all colonialism, in fact.

I really just wish the notion of understanding "the other" had been driven home more. I wish that the ending wasn't just positing the Terminator-like dilemma, but focussed on the constant wars and injustices practiced right now -- especially by the US upon Iran and the Middle East or perhaps by the Iranian and Turkish governments against the Kurds or by the Russians against the Chechens and others, or even by national governments against provincial areas, or by misguided terrorists against Londoners.

The question of the show is not whether we will repeat the cycle of creating artificial intelligence to service us, but when will we stop the cycle of violence among humans. That's so much more vital!

Still, a very interesting ending with environmental themes for which I wasn't prepared. I'll have to really digest this and rewatch it over and over. Very glad Baltar did not die.

By Lilith_Mars at 1:22 PM ON 03/21/09

Ok..so if Hera is Eve, determined by mitochonrdrial DNA, which follows only maternal lineage, does that mean we're the Cylons?

By Tarc at 2:09 PM ON 03/21/09

I invariably find that the people that have been nattering on and on about 'loose threads' are lazy viewers and/or really didn't understand the basics of the show as presented. Yes, the end was (somewhat) opene ended, but the whole structural aspect was this was a show that stretched from the beginning of the end to the end/beginniging of the beginning, with an epilogue scene that brought us (essentailly) full circle. If you found large gaps or plot holes, there were either minor, or *you* missed something in your viewing.

Sadly, it looks as if Lucy Lawless will not be of "The Plan" movie, which is a shame since the character of Number Three became so integral to the overall story.

By Prodjectmayham at 3:02 PM ON 03/21/09

The ending was amazing. This show provides many insights into our own life's. The message of everything that happens will happen again is an important message. It is only though choice that any cycle can be changed. There four realms of knowledge relating to us. The things that we know we know; the things that we think we know; the things that we know we don't know; and the things we don't know that we don't know. Obviously the last realm - the things that we don't know we don't know is infinitely larger than all of the other realms combined. We explorers of knowledge there will always be new information to learn, the only constant is change. The scientific method is the best method to date for understanding nature and making decisions based on nature. applying the scientific method to social concern would better align our life's with nature basing. Most social problems can be resolved by doing this. We are here on this earth together just like they are all together on there ships in space. The biggest difference is we have nature and they did not. Every material thing we enjoy today came from the utilization of individual human life value. Nature provides the means for human expression. We choice a future for all mankind, we get to define that future just like humans did in the show. They choice to go back to tribal means. Technology is a tool, the cyclons are a tool. machine are what we make them to be. We don't need to fear technology we shape it and live with it. Technology is a part of us, it is an extension of us. Applying science does not remove spirituality but grows spirituality to reflect modern times.

just gotta say "Amen!" to Muldfeld. Can't add anything more to that.

By sapo45 at 5:18 PM ON 03/21/09

if Hera was "eve" I guess none of the 30,000 odd survivors had any kids (we did see some in the final scenes after all, trudging off) Of course they all died because they wouldn't take any tools etc, what a cop-out after all these people did to ensure the survival of the race up to that point. Nice anti-technology message there. I'm disappointed to say the least. The final farewell was reminiscent of LOR ending, dragging on and on.

By reh at 5:59 PM ON 03/21/09

I thought it was a great ending for the show. If I had a complaint, its that Deanna wasnt in it. I think all the Cylons should have been represented.
Also, the Starbuck end was a little of a let down, not fully explaining her existance. I like to believe she was an angel from the "ship of lights" from the original series.
Let's hope the plan is just as excellent as Razor was.

By michelle67 at 8:10 PM ON 03/21/09

Hera being considered the first doesn't mean any of the others didn't have children. Those that found her bones were just saying she was the oldest ancestor found that was a precursor to modern humans. As Head 6 said she was the first of many.

As for the Plan I'm kinda disappointed that not more of the cast from Galactica isn't in it. Even a few cameos from some of the "human" cast would have been nice - if it shows any of the cylons on Caprica that is. If it's all at the cylon home world I can understand that it's only cylons although Deanna will be sorely missed.

By neelix at 9:26 PM ON 03/21/09

all I have to say is this was the greatest series finale I've ever seen. my hats off to Ron Moore and his team, I enjoyed the show imensly. but could someone please explain what starbuck was to me?

By Rundal at 9:55 PM ON 03/21/09

I hope they keep turning two-hour show like Razor and The Plan or I'm going to get delerium tremors from withdrawal. My favorite show of all time.

By Chip2800 at 10:12 PM ON 03/21/09

Yes, I agree BSG is one the great sci-fi series of all time. But, the finale left me with some questions and confusion so I would say: all was not revealed.

-Kara Thrace. Storyline totally unresolved and unexplained.
-What's the deal with the Baltar and Caprica 6 "angels"?
-How is it that characters who come from a more technologically advanced society than we live in are immediately supposed to adapt to life in hunter/gatherer societies? Also, what about the members of colonies inadvertently bringing diseases to earth? That sort of thing?
-Lee Adama is just gonna explore the planet?
-the Admiral is gonna build a cabin?

I remain a fan of the show, but I believe there could've been a more "elegant" ending to this fine, thought-provoking series and a stronger script for the finale.

At least there won't be a sequel. As for the prequels, please God, no. No, prequels.

I FRAKKIN' LOVE BSG! -End Comment.

By Richard at 12:17 AM ON 03/22/09

I am just glad they found Earth and the show ended in grand styler. I will let others debate over the minute details.

By MisterCosmic at 1:00 AM ON 03/22/09

Sequel ideas: Battlestar Atlantis... where the survivors decide to keep to themselves on an island in the Atlantic Ocean until a fateful day when their island sinks beneath the waves...

Or, Tales of the Ship of Lights... instead of plunging the fleet into the sun, Sam takes off, hooks up with the Centurions, and over tens of thousands of years, merges all the ships into one vessel... he becomes a superbeing/computer with super intelligent cylons of energy... He discovers and learns to control time itself, in order to learn more of his own history, which is incomplete. He begins to observe humans on Kobol... but his act of observation interfers with things, and so to set things to what he thinks is right, his angelic agents become involved with human affairs, sometimes even going so far as to bring dead ones back to life...

And how about a story about Earth humans, in the near future, who discover alien technological plans for ships and FTL drives... they build ships and christen the first one Galactica, after a name found on the alien blueprints...

There... all the bases covered... with some new directions to take...

By Slander at 1:50 AM ON 03/22/09

I actually really like the first one, Cosmic.

Of course, you have to know that they can't use it now that you've posted it here. That's the problem with mining fan ideas; there's an ownership issue.

cooooooool.....can´t wait after this huge finale!

By V at 9:49 AM ON 03/22/09

Let me get this straight....you openly admitted that "The Cylons have a Plan" was meaningless, that it was David Eick's idea to put it in the opening credits as a *gimmick* to hook viewers, and RDM has already publicly said that he regrets ever doing it.

Yet...you think *retroactively* making up a "Cylon Plan" where there was acknowledged to be *none"........literally just weaving plot threads together.......MAKES UP FOR THAT?!

It doesn't matter that we get "just any Plan"; it only matters if the plan was in place WHEN YOU WERE WRITING IT

By Coop at 10:31 AM ON 03/22/09

All there is to say is.... BSG IS THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!!!

By Bridge at 10:55 AM ON 03/22/09

I've started watching my modern BSG collection for the third time (with the exception of 4.5 of course.) The series ending appears to have been in place from the beginning, even more prevalent towards the end of "33." (Either that or RM likes to review his work as much as I.) But, I have faith in "The Plan." Nobody ever said the plan worked. Obviously the Cylon had some form of plan to wear down Galactica's crew as well as Galactica herself...didn't work out quite like they hoped. In essence, the Cylon were not so different from us. They were a flawed creation, just as we are...and flawed creations are doomed to spawn likewise. This is my reasoning for my perspective during the duration of BSG. Sure, I was joyed when certain Cylon rebelled & joined with the Galactica crew - it was the ultimate & inevitable solution to the survival of both lifeforms. But I must not tell a lie...I've been on the Cylon side from the start. So even if it is an afterthought, I'm still going to view, & most likely enjoy, "The Plan."

By shred at 11:24 AM ON 03/22/09

Muldfeld summed it up better than I. There are a ton of similarities / parallels to our world / societies today.

Mister Cosmic , love those ideas !!

On another note.. the discovery of Mitochondrial Eve dna being found is true http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitochondrial_Eve

Also..the coordinates Kara used which she got from a song her dad taught her... 1123 6536 5321 transcribes in music , a riff or song in phrygian minor scale...also is the music you hear her playing.

I thought the ending was really good, like it was leading you to believe they were the ancient astronauts that came to earth. Remember in the beginning of the original BSG it said they could have been decendants of the Myans or Aztecs.

By MisterCosmic at 3:03 PM ON 03/22/09

Slandar, as far as any BSG ideas of mine that Ron Moore and Co. want to use and are posted here, they can go for it. I just want to see the show... I've got better things to do than sue mega-corporations over silly things posted on a board... and las if I could afford to do so anyway.....

shred: thanks!

By Sheystrides at 3:55 PM ON 03/22/09

I agree with Tarc.

I feel that the ending was well done, they tied loose ends and showed the characters finding peace. I don't care what others say, that's my opinion.

Battlestar Galactica ensnared our minds and hearts into a roller coaster ride of raw emotions: questions of faith and beliefs, pursuit of political power and human struggles compellingly portrayed and delivered by all actors. Of course, it wouldn't be complete without the awesome CGI effect of space battles and chases. For that, I commend the cast, crew, director and producers. What a frakkin ride!

By donny at 8:23 PM ON 03/22/09

One thing is for sure! The end episode of the serie leaves a numbers of different feelings behind, that keeps us all thinking about it. Dammn, this is the best serie that is ever made....
i have to say that i struggle with the end, and ive only watched it once. I am not such a fanatic serie or tv watcher.. so much crapp on tv.. but i can watch this a hundred times....

Can anybody tell me what the best forum site is, where you can talk about the serie?

By techno55 at 8:58 PM ON 03/22/09

All those who favor of BSG's anti-tech choice please cancel their cell phones, burn their PC's and cars and turn off the TV and lights. Ron Moore--great show but what a silly ending... I can't imagine any of the commenters here giving up their tech either... Get real!!!

By whoop2do at 7:00 AM ON 03/23/09

The questions are always better than the answers....

I expected to be disappointed with the finale on some level, but overall was greatly happy that the characters found some personal peace. After all, that's what we all want at the end of our journey...

By Xaviersx at 7:05 AM ON 03/23/09

Opinions are individuals choice, so no matter of fighting with each other will resolve nor rightfully replace them, especially fanatically opinions. I find the series ending left me less than satisfied but overall the series was brilliant. That's just my 'feeling', and as many people have stated, the series could have ended in numerous ways. This way, especially involving time travel and lightly addressed higher plans, was not as pleasing to me and others, so what, it was a good run and directors, producers, writers we were not on this show. Fanfiction will rewrite it, and that's their right too. Overall, an A- minus run, head and shoulders above a number of international shows, and a lot of lessons for all of us, including posters here about cycles of peace and war.

By hebramleigh at 11:48 AM ON 03/23/09

Muldfeld's comments are incredible in their ignorance and desire to excuse the barbaric practices of Islamic terroists by blaming us. Learn your history, Muldfeld. Islamic terrorism didn't just "appear" after the end of the Cold War; it was simply held in check by the power of the Soviet Union. Those who blame all the violence on the west love to cite the Catholic Crusades as the start of the eastern-western tensions. The truth is that the first Catholic Crusade was declared in response of Islamic Jihadism. Islam spread throughout the middle-east through violence and extortion until it reached the gates of Constantinople . The phrase "convert or die" is of muslim origin. That city pleaded to the west for assistance, and that opened the entire can of worms that became the Crusades. Islam launched many invasions of Europe that were either stopped in Eastern Europe or, in the case of Spain, actually succeeded.
Many of your supporters will undoubtedly call me a bigot for stating simple historical facts, but perhaps you should open a history book before attacking me. If nothing else, look at the deplorable treatment of women, people of different religions, homosexuals, and even non-Arab muslims at the hands of Arabiac muslims. How can you blame that on the west? Do YOU want to live under that system? If so, at least be honest enough to admit that you agree with be-heading "infidels", imprisoning women for driving or trying to hold a job to feed their families, and stoning or gang-raping women for the "sins" of their male relatives.

By Bridge at 1:35 PM ON 03/23/09

Like cosmic as follow up "Beyond Galactica". Cuts to one of the ships in the fleet planning to keep their technology and ship. As Galactica enters the sun, it is programmed to break orbit and return to earth. It picks up various groups from around earth and lands in the Azores. Uses technology to build new city. Stays on Island and monitors the rest of the world as the watchers. You could call this Atlantis. Series shows weekly the building of the city, the struggles of these surviors that didn't give up technology. They go out from time to time and help guide the human race in the right direction. They are recordered in cave drawings, the bible and other ways over time. UFO's to others. Atlantis finally sinks, but whose to say they don't survive undetected in a underwater city. On and on. It makes for a spin off.

By AFNinja at 7:58 PM ON 03/30/09

I don't beleive the idea they were trying to get across in the last episode was to be anti-tech. That was the choice of those humans involved. They did that for the survival of humanity. They created a robot in thier image to do thier bidding. When you create something to be like you and let it grow to understand your ways it will enevidably be you. The cylons became human and betrayed thier creators. By giving up on the technology they were hoping that the next race of humans did not evolve to make the same mistakes. However they left nothing behind to warn of us about our selves. God's plan is for us to figure it out on our own and if we can not he will find a way for us to start anew. One day we will figure it all out. Untill then the cycle repeats......

By BSG Hooha! at 8:59 PM ON 04/01/09

I agree, this has a lot of parellels to our society, as a whole. Mankind will destroy itself if they do not remove themselves from the cycle of violence. people have to learn to respect each other and for their own beliefs. Who are we? Are we the evil humans that created the cylons and now they hate us and want to destroy us because we are flawed? We are all flawed in many ways. The creator of mankind and Earth is the only one that knows where we are headed. This show says it all, the significance of who and what we are tell the stoy of how we will evolve.

This was one of the best shows ever...the charactors were tremendous, I enjoyed all four seasons and still watch it from season one. It had all the emotions for a great movie, I hope they make one.

Never the less, we have to consider the fact the writers did tell us something, if we continue to drive the course we are on, we surely will fail and mankind will fail! So say we all...

By Mojavegreen at 6:44 PM ON 04/10/09

After seeing BSG from beginning to end, I can't wait for "The Plan" to be revealed. OUTSTANDING WORK YOU ALL DID WITH BSG!!! Not only was the new series outstanding, IMHO You did the original some over due justice. Back then they really messed things up with BSG when they came out with Glactica 1980. Perhaps we can visit the new colony that was created at the season finally.

By Scottstinks at 3:21 PM ON 04/30/09

Did anyone see "The Plan?" Any good?

Starbuck was Jesus - she was the way, the light, she died, then came back to become humanity's salvation.

Problems with modern Earth - we have not figured out how to travel faster than light, which means any future "Robot" race that uses nukes would destroy all of humanity and themselves. The reason the Cylon attack worked so well, as a plot devise, is that surviving humans had a way to flee. Maybe, unlike the Terminator series, a robot nation could war with humans, one or a few countries at a time. Kind of like a cross between The Terminator and Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Great series, btw.

By sunbari1 at 10:57 PM ON 05/02/09

Scottstinks,

I'm ashamed I never saw the parallel between Kara and Jesus, especially with me being a Christian! However, I remember at least twice it was prophesied that Kara Thrace was the Harbinger of Death. This is one of the loose threads that was never answered or explained.

By Beavernator at 1:06 AM ON 05/04/09

Best show ever, and I'm not a gigantic Sci-fi fan. To some people who were confused as to some of the resolutions to characters, here's what I have to say. Kara was called the "Harbinger of Death" Harbinger means, "person sent to provide lodgings (earth),someone who initiates a major change, and one that presages or foreshadows what is to come. she was also a dead person which says it all. She led them all to their end. As far as Head Six and Head Baltar. They were obviously the "Beings Of Light". At the end when Six says "That's also in gods plan" he says, "you know he doesn't like that name" This implied to me that they are not god, but merely our creators who have to step in from time to time to make sure their creations never totally wipe themselves out. And finally, I liked the lose ends as far as god and Kara. If the writers tried saying they know who god is and the meaning of life, that would have been a total cop out. The best part of the show was that it had always been very probable from a technical and scientific sense, hence the reason I'm happy with the ending. Let me know what you think. Bring more movies....

By teekrtddub at 8:11 PM ON 06/01/09

If you demand to know an explanation to Kara and Baltar and Caprica 6 then you must understand that we are not meant to fully understand everything... It would be like understanding G-D in which case there would be no more pondering and no more free will and you surely would have no more need for life as a human/cylon. And why should humans need to know everything?... part of the great mystery of life is the fact that we don't. Same goes for any show.

And why should humans need to know everything?... part of the great mystery of life is the fact that we don't. Same goes for any show.

BSG had a couple of good years - easily some of the best sci fi ever done on tv, but by the end had lost it's way. I am happy they didn't do another season. This movie looks lame to me as well, it is a shame they couldn't keep the series on track for the duration.

Don't know if anyone caught the comment left above regarding the Chief's kid? Did you even pay attention to the story? Kalli's kid was with Hot Dog, not the chief! In order to really understand what happened here, you have to have been actually watching what was going on. Not as many loose ends as you would think... Imperfect, yes. Still easily one of the best scifi drama's ever made.

I thought Tory was the most annoying of characters. The best thing she did was to throw Cally out the airlock. Still, they all redeemed themselves satisfactorily.
End of line.

The last "episode" of BSG was the lamest piece of crap I have ever witnessed. I am sure the writer's strike had something to do with the deterioration of the story line. Starbuck as an "angel"!? GIVE ME A BREAK! When you have to mix miysicism into SciFi to grope for an ending you really have a problem with creativity and story telling. I will neve be suckered by ANY BSG bulto merde again.

I'd like to see a spin off that follows the fate of the fleet that was abandoned by the Pegasus. Stripped of FTL capability and anybody that looked halfway useful. I'd *really* like t o see this group become devout atheists, survive by scavenging from all of the wreckage left behind after the cylons initial attack, and eventually re-learn enough to build their own battle stars.
What really annoyed me about the last series was they didn't innovate the way people with limited resources and motivation tend to. If a series was set around the other fleet, populated by desperate civilians with no combat training, there would be tremendous opportunity to do unexpected things.
When the BSG was running low on fighter pilots did they refit any vipers to automatically jump a set distance straight ahead and detonate a bomb of some sort, once they were clear of the Galactica? Of course not, this doesn't fit with the US military "use it as it was designed to be used" mentality.
But if a bunch of civilians got a hold of some vipers and knew they didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of using one conventionally, we might see some interesting innovations.

Any ships they built (once they figured out how) would have very civilian attributes that don't generally exist on pure combat ships, like a control room/bridge near the outer hull with a *really* big window. Although they may think to include a shield they could raise when under attack...
I'd like to see them resettle the colonies using transports that were originally operated by a light buld company...
I'd like to see them use any salvaged vipers as "jump bomb" to destroy the current model cylon base ships.
I'd like to see the cylons redesign their baseships to be lees elegant, going back to the two disc arrangement seen in the episode that shows the end of the first war, but with the entry to the landing bays back towards the centre of the discs.
I'd also like to see them loose the ability to control biological technology and revert to mechanical cylons.
I'd also like to see the cylons also loose the ability to build FTL engines.
Strong prey makes for a strong predator / weak prey makes for a weak predator.
Done properly this could actually lead into the original series.
The colonist would arrive in light company ships: ships of light.
The new battle star launched in the final episode would look eerily familiar.
The best part would be finding out that according to "gods" plan: The only reason the humans and cylons found earth and abandoned their technology was so the descendents of the lost fleet would have somewhere to go where they lost the next cylon war.

Now that would be an entertaining series.

Things must always die. I think Battlestar Galactica has had its time.

Easily one of the best written and executed TV shows ever. I quickly read the comments leading up here and I agree with a few of you and I'm amazed at many. So many want their show tied up in a nice bow at the end with no questions left unanswered. Well...welcome to real life. Maybe as real as TV can come to it. You probably won't hear from me again. Find something else to peak your interests, Starbuck and Apollo are gone. Enjoy yourselves.

To the person who only puts his wife and kids above a tv show.

GET A LIFE!

The show was great. It is make believe sci fi....it isn't real, it isn't important. It is entertainment.
I guess some have lives so devoid of meaning they have to find it in tv...sad news to be sure.

To the people freaking out over the "just a show" thing. Yes, it's just a show the same way as "Hamlet" is just a play, as the Mona Lisa is just a painting, as Michelangelo's David is just a statue. It's a work of art and meant to stir passions. You may not like the way some people gush over it, but do keep in mind that nearly everyone (and certainly most with strong imagination) use hyperbole to describe their emotional reactions. Please allow people to enjoy what they enjoy without resorting to snarky put-downs and false outrage (I mean, honestly, do you really care what someone else thinks about TV?).

Personally, I love the show and am looking forward to watching this.

BSG = Best show ever.

But, The Plan.....Where's Lucy? Number 3? What the hell?

Zomg...I am naming my unborn child The Plan.

BSG was overrated crap. Most dialogue was barely audible over the mumbling (Adama), Why could only Baltar see and hear #6 (keep it simple)? If the Cylons were physically & genetically indistinguishable from humans, then wouldn't they be.....human? If, so then why is the eradication of humans their goal? Wouldn't they the have to destroy themselves? Anyway- it was crap.

ANYTHING that gets Grace Park more screen time is OK by me!

Hey Guys!

I am a huge BSG fan also and hope the entertainment and thought provoking culture of BSG continues.

I don't know if you know that BSG exists in a 3D cyberspace on SecondLife.

If you are really into BSG and don't want to just let it slip away come visit and prehaps join the hundreds of us who take some entertainment time to live in this virtual world.

You can visit and you can join...free!

Look me up if you visit BSG47...I am a Doctor on a Civilian Ship in the Colonial Fleet. You will arrive in the virtual world across from the Clinic I work at.

There are military, civilian, government, security, criminals, medical and cylon roles to play and be part of a team living the challenge and trying to understand what it is to be human.

There is drama, flying combat, csi type mysteries, love, hate, science, oh and sex too...just like in the series.

But you get to emerse yourself in it.

CYA...Feli

BSG is one of the best creations of our entertainment culture.

It ranks right up there with levi 505s and jazz.

I recently finished watching the whole series, plus Razor, via DVD on my big screen iMAC (don't do TV, so I missed it while it was airing on TV). What a trip!

Looking forward to "The Plan" when it comes our on DVD.
