Four join the cast of NBC's post-apocalyptic Day One
David Lyons, Carly Pope, Adam Campbell and Thekla Reuten have joined the cast of NBC's post-apocalyptic drama pilot Day One, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Day One revolves around a group of neighbors in an apartment complex after a catastrophic event.
Lyons will play the male lead, a Marine and an Iraq veteran who is a natural leader. Reuten (Sleeper Cell) will play an odd woman who keeps copious notes on other tenants. Pope will play a brilliant young woman who lives with her boyfriend (Campbell), an MIT graduate and computer genius.

this show seems interesting, but it is just a rehash of Jerico... Jerico was awesome, and this one will have big shoes to fill...

Jerico & this show are both American Rips Off's of the Wildly Popular 1975 British Series Survivors. Being that the just revamped and re=imaged and remde Survivors this year and with a second season in the works it did not surprise me they were doing this. The event in Survivors is a Euro Flu wipes out all but 1% of the worlds population.

Nothing matters. It doesn't matter if the actors are good, if the story is interesting.
After a while this will end like every single other USA TV show. Full of crappy hetero romance stories and the creator/producer will start posting online that there are good and bad fans and that people that don't like the show can go to hell .

I don't care how good the actors are. It is just a Jericho rip off. I would rather see the original Jericho. They had more well known and quality lead actors and a phenominal supporting cast. But this may be the best and all that NBC is capable of producing. Shame on you NBC for stealing a copy of Jericho. And just how long do you think this rip off will last ? Maybe a whole season ? Betting it won't even last 13 episodes.

NBC here is an idea, scrap the pilot and put jericho back on the air. Enough said.
NBC will continue to be the 4th place network as it is a follower not a leader.

I think Jericho would have been a better choice. if Lyons is going to play a marine though he better have the marine look.

This show wont last, it'll have huge numbers for the premiere, then it'll dip a bit, dip a bit more. Then some idiot will change its scheduled time and the ratings will dip again, Ill see "Day One - The Complete Series" on the DVD Shelves in about a year. Bring Back Jericho!!!!!

Yeah, because Jericho is the original and all encompassing creation for the post-apocalyptic genre and if anything else ever comes out, we need to boycott it!
I will not watch anything else. Heroes is a 4400/X-Men ripoff, Day One is a ripoff of Jericho (and so is the Fallout series!)
