The Last House on the Left director Dennis Iliadis has signed on to direct the sci-fi thriller Cure for Michael London's Groundswell Productions, Variety reported.

The story centers on a young man who sends his wife for an experimental treatment to save her from a terminal illness. Although she returns completely cured, she is suddenly infected with something more terrifying.

Max Payne scribe Beau Michael Thorne wrote the screenplay. Shooting is scheduled to begin in the summer.
