C.H.U.D. is confirming that original Terminator star Linda Hamilton has already recorded her voice-over role in McG's upcoming Terminator Salvation. (Possible spoilers ahead!)
We first reported in January that Hamilton, who played Sarah Connor, was in talks to reprise her role as the mother of the leader of the future rebellion against the cyborgs.
C.H.U.D., citing an unnamed source who has seen the film, reported that Hamilton's voice-over is in the film, and that it works very well in context. It comes at the very beginning of the movie; the source compared it in tone and style to her voice-over in Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
McG has said he wanted to use Hamilton's voice as a lead-in to and end of the movie, based on the tape recordings she was seen making at the end of the original Terminator movie to her as-yet-unborn son John.
Terminator Salvation, starring Christian Bale as John Connor, opens May 21.

Nice choice of pics for this article, BTW. Linda Hamilton was great in T2, so I can't blame them for chasing her down to do SOMETHING for this movie.
She's obviosly not alive in this film, since it's in the future, but I wonder how much they stick with from T3.

They're sticking with everything from T3. From Sarah's death to Kste Brewster being John Connor's wife. Of course, the events of T3 wont be the main focus given the fact that pretty much the only things that happened in that movie which have a lasting impact is that John hooked up with Kate and Judgement Day happened.
