

Warner Brothers has released the six new character posters from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, including new images of Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson). More after the jump.
The other posters feature Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton), Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) and Snape (Alan Rickman). Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince opens July 17.

Is it me or do they all look like they are trying way to hard to look bad ass. I know the story gets darker in the later books but its still a story about kid wizards in a magical land with funny words for things. They need to lighten them up a bit.

I know they're all using the same background but the Snape one looks great. I might be bias though because I love Alan Rickman.
And Nilus, this is the darkest of the Harry Potter books. I think it's good that they're reflecting that. Anything else would be deceptive.

You can say they are trying too hard to look badass in a kids wizarding world, but the thing is...they ARE badass, and this book is anything but a whimsical romp. I think the posters look damned good and Alan Rickman looks pretty young.
