At WonderCon on Saturday, Terminator Salvation director McG asked the crowd whether they'd like to see star Moon Bloodgood go topless in the movie, apparently a question about whether the film should shoot for a PG-13 rating or an R, as hoped by fans.
The crowd, naturally, favored the latter.
What does the actress herself think? Speaking after the panel, she was unabashed.
"It's a really pretty shot. ... I'm actually being really serious," Bloodgood said in a group interview. "I wouldn't have done it, first of all, ... if I felt uncomfortable. Secondly, it wasn't a sexual thing. I mean, obviously it's a sexual thing. But it was like a silhouette, and there's rain, and it's a moment where I'm just like, I'm drawn to this man and I just don't care anymore. Like, if you see me, see me naked, see my vulnerabilities, see my emotions, see my body. ... I just want him to see me."
Clearly, Bloodgood has no problems with the shot. "It just depends on if it's PG-13 or rated R," she said.

Honestly, as pretty as the godawfully-named Moon Bloodgood is, I want a Terminator movie to be rated R BECAUSE IT'S A TERMINATOR MOVIE.

Ditto!
But I'm sure the topless shot couldn't hurt anything.....

PG-13, doesn't that mean adults watching it can only "p"retend it's "g"ood for 13 minutes and then leave the room?
It's not just the removed violence and sexiness, most often it is the concessions to "teenager logic" and the intended emotional responses to events that drive you away real quick.
Sorry, but PG13 is neither funny nor does anything particular impress me there.

The ONLY reason movie-makers want PG ratings is the ability to sell toys.

I don't think they're changing too much when it comes to content, in order to get the PG-13 rating. The standards have recently changed, so what would have qualified as an R-rated movie before might not get a PG-13.
Of course, partial nudity would be something that would probably push it back to R.

i will never support this movie if it is a pg-13 movie....
no frakkin way.
this is meant to be for us adults and for those who allow their children to watch.strip out the violence and sex if any and then it will suck.

The whole concept just cracks me up. Judging from the trailers, there will be violence death and shooting aplenty (which is a good thing, for a Terminator movie). But all that death and mayhem might still just get a PG-13... but put a bare booby in there, and woooooot.... rated R. What's wrong with that picture? A breast shot is more damaging to young teenage minds than blood and guts, I guess? Hmmmmm....

Leaving in Europe, I can tell you we rate movies mostly based on the violent content while you, americans, rate movies mostly on the sexual content of movies.
I guess the ratings in EU will be R because it's violent, bloody and people are dying... Exactly as any Terminator movie should be.
And it will be rated R in the US because you could see a tit if it wasn't so dark nor rainning...
Fascinating !

A PG-13 Terminator movie is just un-American. Producers need to realize the safe way isn't necessarilly the best way. T1 and T2 are classics, both rated R. T3 was a waste of my time.
