We've got the new trailer for Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs
A new trailer has gone live for the animated kids' movie Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, based on the book written by Judi Barrett and illustrated by Ron Barrett. You can watch it after the jump.
The film focuses on a town where food falls from the sky like rain. The movie features the voices of Bill Hader, Anna Faris, James Caan, Bruce Campbell, Andy Samberg, Mr. T and Tracy Morgan. Chris Miller and Phil Lord direct from their screenplay. The movie opens Sept. 18.

Finally! When I was 4, and read this book, I knew they should have made a movie!
And plus, there seems to be a book-movie thing going on.

WHAT A TRAVESTY! For being my FAVORITE children's story as a young kid I was really hoping for something FAITHFUL to the book. Instead they absolutely bastardized it. Aside from the obvious (and ridiculous!) plot changes, they scrapped any and every opportunity to create something truly unique in the world of computer animation. The BEST part of the book are the illustrations!! What an amazing piece of animation this could've been if they had only been smart enough to actually bring these original drawings to life. Instead we got what looks like every other generic CGI cartoon they pump out half a dozen times a year! One of the biggest disappointments of the year....
