Entertainment Weekly columnist Michael Ausiello reports a rumor that Elizabeth Mitchell of ABC's Lost has been cast in the network's pilot for a revamped V.
Citing anonymous sources at ABC and Warner Brothers, which is producing the sci-fi series, Ausiello reports that Mitchell will be a guest star on V.
Does this mean that Mitchell's Juliet isn't long for the island? Stay tuned ...

Why is ABC re-doing an old NBC mini-series? What's next? PBS redoing Airwolf or Jon Sable?
By Facepalm at 3:11 PM ON 03/22/09
Why stop at Airwolf. Bring back Max Headroom, MacGuyver, the Fall Guy and the A-Team.
By Giavs at 5:35 PM ON 03/22/09
Airwolf...yes....by whoever...
By AngryJonny at 5:47 PM ON 03/22/09
I love Elizabeth Mitchell, so I'll watch her in anything.

it would be nice to see them bring back the A team, airflow and what about seaquest?
By NKwulf at 8:17 PM ON 03/22/09
why "remake" shows any ways...there are enough shows out there that have the same concept as the shows of the past.
They are just trying to bring back the shows that were "popular" back in the 80s and early 90s in hopes that this new generation finds it interesting and hoping that the older ones find it also...usually the older ones complain that its "missing" something.
They brought Knight Rider back but from what I understand ratings are not all that great.

V is not going to be a remake it is a continuation with the new novel as the basis.
By Lonestare at 10:07 PM ON 03/22/09
"Remake of Airwolf by ... whoever..." was the comment above.
Considering the behavior of Jan Michael Vincent, maybe the re-make should be, oh, David Hasslehoff?
If not [ TV execs could easily want a younger actor, the run screen actors guild files, with a filter for stilted, wooden dialogue-ist and add another for at least two trips two rehab follwed by at least one DUI/drug arrest.
By Shilue at 10:37 PM ON 03/22/09
They do all these remakes because writers today and incompetent and can't come up with good programs on their own. They have to go back and redo the good stuff from the 70's and 80's, back when TV was actually worth watching.
By nkwulf at 10:56 PM ON 03/22/09
Mandarb, they are talking about remaking V with a moe modern day feel. The main charater is suppose to be a Homeland Agent.
The V:Second Generation book, which is thesqueal to the first miniseries is still being discussed on filming.
By Requiem1971 at 3:41 AM ON 03/23/09
Come on people, there have been remakes since the 50s and 60s, nothing new there. The only new concept are Prequals, but even that has become redundent. Star Wars prequal, Star Trek prequal series and new movie, Even the Mummy had Scorpion King as its prequal. Underworld now has a prequal.
Oh snap, how about for a remake of Airwolf you put Britney Speers? huh? She's been through rehab and such... Maybe even put her in Blue Thunder.. remember that bird? And as for the A Team, for the roll of "Face" or "Faceman" you place Paris Hilton. She's a natural for the part. Now that's Hot!

OMIGAWD! Are people not going to get as upset about this as they did when they took the torches and pitchforks to Korbi for reporting that E. Lily was auditioning for pilots!
By k at 9:04 AM ON 03/23/09
The new V series is NOT a continuation of the original via the new book because Kenneth Johnson (creator of the original mini-series and author of "V: the Second Generation") has nothing to do with this new incarnation.
This is a reboot.
By Captain Jack Harkness at 11:03 AM ON 03/23/09
The A-Team? You want the A-Team back? Only if you promise it's not made like a cartoon this time. 4 guys shoot off 10,000 rounds in 5 minutes and not only do they not kill anyone, they don't even hurt anyone! I suppose their bullets and grenades were made of magic fairy dust.
By 8675309 at 12:08 PM ON 03/23/09
Why don't they make a re-make of Lost called Found?
By kryche at 12:32 PM ON 03/23/09
I don't see a problem with remaking old TV series, as long as it's done well.
Battlestar Galactica is a great example of a very cheesy 70s tv series, turned into one of the best Scifi shows of all time. If they can do the same thing with other TV shows, then we, the viewing public, will be all the richer for it.. Doesn't matter where the concepts come from, so long as they are well done. IMO Anyway.

Max Headroom would still be a terrific show by today's standards. Bring back Nowhere Man, Jericho, & Firefly while you're at it. Once we have that accomplished, we can talk Manimal, U.F.O., Quark, & the old Batman series. ;-)
By ecgordon at 5:47 PM ON 03/23/09
This better not mean they will kill her off on Lost. I'm just waiting for her to put the smackdown on Kate.
By terminator at 5:30 AM ON 03/30/09
Are they killing the best female character off the show???Are they drunk or something?
Juliet can't go anywhere!
NO WAY!

I'm not allowed to watch lost. I've seen Santa Clause 2 and 3 many times. I own them. :) I love Elizabeth Mitchell. I want to meet her one day. She is my role model.
