The upcoming Broadway musical SPIDER-MAN Turn Off the Dark, with music and lyrics by Bono and the Edge and featuring direction by Julie Taymor (Across the Universe, The Lion King on Broadway) will be holding open casting calls in major cities across the U.S. beginning next week.
SPIDER-MAN is looking for performers with dynamic rock/pop voices, including those with experience in bands and as solo performers. Regardless of experience, anyone who thinks they might be qualified is encouraged to audition.
The production is looking not only for principals and understudies capable of playing leads Peter Parker and Mary Jane, but also for an unnamed "Lead Female Villain" described as "Sinead O'Connor with a Middle Eastern/Bulgarian/Greek twist."
Auditions will be held in Orlando, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago and Austin. For more information, check out Spider-Man on Broadway.

I think it would be wild if they made this an interactive musical whereby Spider-Man flies into the audience, grabs audience members, and spins around the theater with them. They could also do something in 3-D where the villain shoots weapons and it appears that they are coming at you. They should come up with a better villain than Sinead O' Connor. Don't get wrong: Sinead herself would make a good villain; just not for Spider-Man. Maybe Mysterio can do some magic tricks at intermission. Just a thought!

They would never allow for him to grab a random audience member. Now if they had someone pose as an audience member so it looks like he's grabbing someone at random that I can picture.
