DC Comics offered its first official look today at the miniseries Wednesday Comics, an ambitious new project which launches this summer as a weekly broadsheet-sized publication. Each issue will be 14 inches wide by 20 inches tall, and will offer a single page per character, serializing 15 one-page stories over the course of its 12-week run.

The pages that debuted today at the DC Universe Blog give a first look at Batman by Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso and Superman by John Arcudi and Lee Bermejo.

Other character/creator teams that will be a part of the project include Neil Gaiman and Michael Allred on Metamorpho, Joe Kubert on Sgt. Rock and Kyle Baker on Hawkman. Dave Gibbons, Walt Simonson and others will also take part in the project.
