\<i\>Harper\'s Island\<\/i\> debuts tonight; here\'s a sneak peek

CBS has posted a teaser for its new horror mystery series Harper's Island, which debuts tonight. You can watch it after the jump.

Christopher Gorham (Jake 2.0) stars as Henry, a man whose friends and family gather together on the title island for his wedding to high-school sweetheart Trish (Katie Cassidy). It's far from a joyous homecoming for many, as seven years ago someone killed several people on the island, including the mother of Henry's best friend, Abby (Elaine Cassidy), who reluctantly agrees to return to the island for Henry's nuptials. Worse, someone starts killing members of the wedding party.

Harper's Island debuts tonight and will air Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

This show needs less horror and more mystery. So far it appears like the only motive for the murders is simply that the murderer is insane, which is a horrible excuse for a motive. It also already appears that their are only really two possible suspects: Shane (the Townie) and Jimmy (the old flame) as the murderer of Ben clearly planned his death out far in advance making it extremely likely he was not on the boat with the majority of suspects. Plus they were around when the captain almost found the body, making it seem likely that Jimmy was actually trying to make sure the captain did not find the body when he offered his help. Hopefully both these suspects will be killed off soon, because i'd hate to be right from the first episode.
