Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes will play warring gods in Clash of the Titans, the remake of the Greek-god epic to be directed by Louis Leterrier, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Neeson is playing Zeus, the wise yet sometimes ill-tempered king of the gods and father of Perseus (Sam Worthington).
Fiennes will play Hades, ruler of the underworld, who aims to overtake Zeus and rule over all. Fiennes' deal is in still in negotiations.
The two actors join Mads Mikkelsen, Gemma Arterton and Alexa Davalos in the production, which begins shooting later this month in the United Kingdom.
The deal marks Neeson's first since the tragic death of his wife, Natasha Richardson. The deal was initiated before her death.

Yes! They are both awesome actors and wonderful playing opposite each other in Schindler's List. Reading makes me slightly less cynical about this remake.

I think Liam is the upper crust, but I fear this is miscast. Liam is still fit as notable in Taken, but implicit in Zeus' presence is his physique, which is at least as good as Rob Roy.

As someone who loved Leterrier's Hulk, I'm pretty pscyhed about this movie, and it's getting better the more they cast it.
