When did Wolverine become the Highlander?

@Jimmie

According to Marvel lore, Woverine's regenerative powers have slowed his metabolism. His loss of memory (X-Men 1) leaves him unable to recall just when he was born or how long he has been alive. Several of the comics have covered this fact.

Yup, the process of aging is one's cells breaking down over time, but his body regenerates so quickly, that his cells break down very slowly, if at all. And yeah, pretty much common Wolvie knowledge.

Very like Milo Morai of The Horseclans.
A effective immortal with no long term memory i.e. nothing beyond one or two hundred years.

Wasn't there mention of fighting the Romans in X1 ? Are they really going to explore his origins or just highlights that everyone else does !
