Sons of Anarchy's Charlie Hunnam reads for Thor
Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam confirmed to IGN that he has screen-tested for the title role in Kenneth Branagh's upcoming Thor.
Hunnam told the site that he has only shot one screen test so far. Asked if it involved running around with a helmet and a hammer, he replied with a smile, "Something like that."
Hunnam added that he believes that since Marvel pushed the start date of Thor back a few months, the studio is taking its time to make the best decision for the film.
The 29-year-old Englishman's credits include the sci-fi epic Children of Men.

I don' t think he isn't big enough body wise for the role… I would rather see him tackle The Joker (if Nolan would need The Joker in the next Batman) or even the next villain than Thor.

This is kind of funny, considering that I think that Ryan Hurst (who plays Opie on Sons of Anarchy, and also played Gerry Bertier in Remember the Titans) would make an amazing Captain America. It'd be pretty funny if Hurst ended up as Cap and Hunnam ended up as Thor and co-starred in Avengers.
That being said, while I think this guy's a damn good actor, I'm not entirely sure he's big enough to play Thor. My vote's still for Alexander Skarsgard as Thor.

I agree he is not big enough but I think he is the best suggestion so far. He is great on Sons of Anarchy.

Triple H (Paul Levesque) from WWE is the spitting image of Thor....he can ham it up pretty well in the ring, fitting that part of the bill for Thor, too. Worth a look.

Oh please no more short scrawny actors to play characters which are supposed to be massively built and imposing. This guy isn't even close to looking like the Norse god we know from the comics.
