Somewhere, there are uber-geeks pleasuring themselves over the thought of this.
By jeff.wooddell at 10:42 PM ON 04/06/09
I actually think it looks kinda cool: and I'm 56 years old!
By AngryJonny at 10:43 PM ON 04/06/09
That... is... freakin'... AWESOME!!!
Uh, I mean, if you're into that sort of stuff...

This is the cheap way of doing things.
Who remembers the guy who did up his entire flat Voyager-style?

It's a helluvalot better than cheap wood paneling that seems to be de rigueur in American basements :P

How long before some geek complains that it's .015% not to scale, or that the science station is 3.78 centimeters too far to the left.
By Impy at 12:50 AM ON 04/07/09
Where do you get one?
By Impy at 12:53 AM ON 04/07/09
Whoops! Never mind. Found it!

I could do without the condescending headline for this non-news item.
By rjkardo at 7:48 AM ON 04/07/09
Come on, the headline is GREAT!!
By Still...Old...Friend... at 10:28 AM ON 04/07/09
Its $249.99!!! Hello...recession???

At least somebody remembers what the original series bridge looks like. Unlike certain wonderboy directors/writers/producers of relaunch franchise movies. (My apologys, It was a easy cheap shot at the train-wreck of a movie.) The wall mural is really cool looking and would look great in my parents basement where I live. (ok, everything better now, cheap shot on me.)
By Slander at 2:29 PM ON 04/07/09
Really, Wire? Is it necessary to take cheap shots at your own core demographic?
By Rob at 3:51 PM ON 04/07/09
Sorry, wrong generation for mom's basement. The new movie is for the geeks still living at home. Real Trekkers are the ones with successful lives.

Slander: "Really, Wire? Is it necessary to take cheap shots at your own core demographic?"
Wow, sensitive much? That's like Trekkies who actually got offended when Shatner told us to get a life on SNL. It's a joke, so it's okay to unclench the buttcheeks and laugh.
Besides, the mural HAS to go on the wall of my mom's basement. There's no other room in the house big enough.
By DanDFromNJ at 12:57 PM ON 04/08/09
Why is everyone getting so mad about the headline? GET A LIFE. IT'S A JOKE.
By asdfasdf at 5:07 PM ON 05/08/09
this is so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By Shon at 10:18 PM ON 05/08/09
The funniest part of ALL of this is the title of the article. If you can't make fun of yourself, then you shouldn't make fun of anyone else... ever. srsly.
I am tired of the world trying to cater to the whiners who say their feelings were hurt. I can't say "that's ghey" without worrying about losing my job... because of people like you.

I guess you just can't please everyone, huh. Some of you really need to lighten up, don't you think? Well, here's something else to tick you off; if you look closely you will notice that is actually the bridge of the USS Defiant from "Enterprise: In A Mirror, Darkly." Whoops, I guess I've gone and done it now!
