Terry Pratchett's best-selling Discworld novels have inspired street names for a U.K. town, reported The Guardian. Pratchett visited the new housing estate of Wincanton in Somerset to unveil the road names Peach Pie Street and Treacle Mine Road, and was greeted by hundreds of fans, many dressed in costume.
"I think it's a lovely idea, even though it makes my head spin to think of the books becoming a little closer to reality," said Pratchett. "And they are nice names, even though I say it myself. Personally, I'd pay good money to live somewhere called Treacle Mine Road."
Wincanton became the sister city of Ankh-Morpork from the novels in 2002, becoming the first U.K. town to link with a fictional place. Richard Goad, regional sales and marketing director, said: "With Wincanton's well-established links with Ankh-Morpork, it seemed fitting to name the roads at Kingwell Rise after places in Discworld."
Pratchett has sold more than 55 million books worldwide and has had his works translated into 33 languages.

Haha. How very tourist-friendly. Terry Pratchett deserves the attention though. He's a brilliant writer.

It would be awesome to write "Ankh-Morpork Blvd" as a return address!

We are buying a property in Treacle Mine Road. Have started reading the Discworld books to justify our residence in this famous street!
