These 10 cities are vying to host the Wolverine world premiere
Fox has narrowed to 10 cities the candidates to host the world premiere of X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Star Hugh Jackman invited fans to nominate their towns for the honor, and the top 10 leading towns as of Wednesday are Davis, Calif.; Hastings, Neb.; Austin, Texas; Melbourne, Fla.; Dallas; San Antonio; Las Vegas; Tempe, Ariz.; Chicago; and Philadelphia.
The winning town will be announced on April 20, and you can still vote here. X-Men Origins: Wolverine opens May 1.

Quene, it's all about votes. Many if not all of these cities have larger populations than most Canadian cities or perhaps just more fans asking. Still, just because one has a larger population base, they should help some non-American runners up. Maybe Mexico City or somewhere impoverished in America like on the East coast that needs the attention. I don't know. Maybe this makes sense, too.

DAVIS, CA?!?! Really? An itty-bitty college town located in the middle of nowhere? (15 minutes from Sacramento doesn't really count, especially in a state that includes San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, etc., does it?) Good for them for mobilizing. Was it the college kids, local population, or both?
Yes I'm jealous down here in Santa Cruz, CA (which is also in the middle of nowhere) . . . Our college kids can mobilize for 4/20, but that's about it ;-)
