Darth Vader battles Gandalf in new series from Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia
Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia is set to appear in and co-produce Ultradome, a new scripted Web series in which warriors from sci-fi's most popular franchises settle hypothetical disputes in a special-effects showdown.
"My whole life has been spent engaged with friends in intellectual debate ... like whether Captain Kirk is tougher than Spock or if Middle-earth is a more difficult place to live than Tatooine," Ventimiglia said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "With Ultradome, we can bring these debates to the public and settle them in the most logical way possible: through armed combat."
In each three- to five-minute episode, two characters engage in a heated debate—"Who's tougher, Harrison Ford as Han Solo, or Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones?"—then are transported to a stadium where the duo engage in single combat using all the weaponry, skills and pop-culture touchstones from their respective heroes' creative arsenals.
The concept is similar to Spike TV's new series Deadliest Warrior, which reconstructs hypothetical matchups between, for instance, a samurai and a Viking. Only Ultradome is played for laughs with pop-culture-driven battles and shows fans fighting instead of trying to re-create the iconic warriors themselves.

If they take some of these fights into space we might get to see the Millenium Falcon square off against say the Battlestar Galactica or any one of the many Enterpises.
Or better yet, the BS Galactica versus a Star Destroyer, or the entire ST Starfleet against the Death Star.
If this thing includes the fantasy side, maybe we'll see who's tougher: Gandalf, Merlin, Thomas Covenant or Rand al'Thor. My money is on Covenant, that White Gold magic is bad A$$

The one I would like to see (I remember reading in a magazine once about this matchup) would be Paul Atreides from the Dune novels against Luke Skywalker. If I remember correctly in the magazine, Paul simply waited for a sandstorm to hit, dug a hole in the sand and let Skywalker get killed by the storm. Besides, I don't think even a Jedi could stand up against Shai-Hulud.

Wolverine's claws are made of adamantium, which is supposed to be indestructible. Light sabers won't cut it. However, a jedi should be able to use the Force to hold him back.
Star Wars technology looks superior to Galactica tech. They have shields and Galactica only had armor. My guess, a SD would destroy the Galactica.
Kirk would kick Picard's ass in a fight, but Picard could talk the Cardassians, Romulans, and Klingons to join forces to beat Kirk up through magical diplomacy.
Ninjas beat Pirates in a fight, but Pirates have better booze and go "Yo Ho Ho". Plus, peglegs and a parrot! Awesomeness.
Han Solo vs. Indiana Jones? They're the same guy, essentially, so it's really a revolver and bullwhip versus a blaster and wookie. I vote blaster and wookie.

@awag...Really? The Galactica would be a Star Destroyer with Shields or a Star Fleet vessel with Sheilds? I think not. Granted Galactica has vipers and rail cannons and nuclear missles but it has to actually be effective with them. The Star Destroyer could send waves of Tie Fighters to deal with the vipers and Galactica defenses and then polish up with the Star Destroyer cannons. StarFleet could probably launch a few photorps at long range and call it a day as we watch the Galactica go up in a antimatter explosion of godlike proportions.

Shields are typically only good against energy weps. Galactica uses bullets and similar ordinance. As far as an SD launching torps, so, too, could the Galactica. I'm betting the nuclear blast would cause hell on the shields, too
