OMG. I'm so bored by the plot gimmicks of "Lost". I've only watched so long because my mother's a fan, so I can talk about it with her, but I was hoping my faith would be restored by the 4th season finale, as the 3rd season finale did, and it wasn't. Wow. Move the island through time. Kill tons of the cast for cheap dramatic effect, even though it's obvious they're all coming back.

Lots of nonsense and none of the characters' motivations make any real sense.

It's so boring. Season 1 actually had interesting mysteries and little character moments before repeating and exploiting those in Seasons 2 and 3. Now it's all pointless plot gimmicks.

Can't believe people like this crap and actually give a crap about all the twists and turns but couldn't follow the often-brilliant X-Files' mythology from Seasons 2 through 6. Now THAT was emotionally satisfying!

Muldfeld needs a time out.

Agreed LOSTFan. He already has Abrams Hatred Dementia syndrome over Star Trek so he is not a clear thinking individual if you ask me.

This season of Lost has worn me down. For a while I was only watching out of loyalty. We watched last week's episode last night and it actually left me looking forward to the season finale. I hope its good.

Yeah, I am ready for a break. I'll be glad when it gets to the last season. All these twists are getting a little old. Just get it over with!

Muldfeld, If you are so bored THEN STOP WATCHING.
No one is putting a gun to your head and forcing you to watch.
Sheeesh!

Actually, IsoTek, that's another reason I can't stand Abrams. He never sets the record straight when people are praising him for the latest plot element in "Lost". He helped come up with the story for the pilot and some of the arcs and directed the pilot. He hasn't done bupkis since. Lindeloff and Cuse and the other writers have done all the hard work, not Abrams. Even Cloverfield is advertized as an Abrams project, when he didn't write it or direct it; it's pretty disgusting what an ego this guy has.

I dislike the work. I'm not prejudiced. "Lost" is incredibly uninspired and keeps getting all the kudos when it's relying on archetypes to define the characters just like the new Star Trek instead of a realistic sense of psychology.

BillD.Cat, you're probably right, which is why I haven't watched the last 2 eps and only recorded them. However, like Season 3, I hope to at least get a satisfying season finale, but I'm not holding my breath since last year's season finale was disappointing. Again, you're got a point.

Mudfeld wuvs his mommy. Leave him alone.

By Muldfeld at 10:21 PM ON 05/12/09

I do. My mom also thoroughly enjoyed the new Abrams Trek and gets all upset when I start complaining, so I have to come here to do it. :(

By IsoTek at 11:37 PM ON 05/12/09

@Muldfeld....No, you don't have to come here to complain about Trek....Really. : ) I don't want to start a "yes he did"/ "no he didn't war" but I have seen him praise his writers and staff of his various projects in print and in video. Methinks you are a bit sensitive Muld, Abrams' production outfit produces these shows so the man is going to have his hands on them no matter what. That is the curse of being a writer/producer/director.

Strange; I have read plenty of interviews on this site, as well as Fearnet, yahoo news, the fuselage, you name it…all where JJ tells people that he's not really involved with Lost that much and to direct their questions to Damon and Carlton. So I'm not really sure where you get that ego thing.

However I also am not really sure where you find Lost to be uninspired, since it draws from any number of sources, but hey, to each his own. I will give you that this season (for me) has been one of my least favorites, mostly because I never really cared about the Dharma Initiative or what they were doing; I was always way more interested in the Others, and this whole time travel side trip has been really, really boring. Plus Jack has been rendered pretty ineffectual until recently and I don't like that one bit either. But that's me.

Either way, I can't wait for the finale!

Muldfield clearly lacks the intelligence required to understand LOST as a show. Sure LOST has had it's ups and downs (like any good show on TV), but clearly Muldfield is a giant-sized doucher that can't understand what he/she is watching. Nuff said.

I have enjoyed this new season a lot more.
I know a lot of people haven't but I liked the new ideas they decided to go with and I think they have been quite smart with it.
The last few eps have started to drag on a little so I am looking forward to the season final.
