New images from Miyazaki's new animated fantasy Ponyo
Walt Disney Co. has released images from and the onesheet poster for Ponyo, the latest animated movie from Oscar winner Hayao Miyazaki, which you can view after the jump.
The movie, which opens Aug. 14, is based on Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "The Little Mermaid" and tells the story of a young and overeager goldfish named Ponyo (voiced by Noah Cyrus) and her quest to become human.
The movie also features the voices of Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, Tina Fey, Frankie Jonas, Cloris Leachman, Liam Neeson, Lily Tomlin and Betty White. Disney's chief creative officer, John Lasseter (Toy Story), and Brad Lewis and Peter Sohn directed the English voice cast. Click on the images for larger versions.

I actually got a chance to see this in Japan last summer. It's a wonderfully cute, heartfelt movie and I think kids are definitely going to love it.
