New trailer now live for Blood: The Last Vampire
ShockTillYouDrop.com/ComingSoon.net has posted the new English-language trailer for Blood: The Last Vampire, a new live-action film based on the cult manga series, which you can view after the jump.
Directed by Chris Nahon, the horror-action-thriller stars Gianna Jun, Allison Miller, Masiela Lusha, JJ Feild and Koyuki.
In the film, demons have infested the earth and only one warrior stands between the dark and the light: Saya, a half-human, half-vampire samurai who preys on those who feast on human blood. Joining forces with the shadowy society known as the Council, Saya is dispatched to an American military base, where an intense series of swordfights leads her to the deadliest vampire of all. And now, after 400 years, Saya's final hunt is about to begin.
Blood: The Last Vampire is slated for release this summer.

Before everyone say's this just another post Twilight Vampire band wagon film, keep in mind the manga came out many years ago and the anime film came out around 2002

I agree, the anime was too short, but the anime series was phenomenal and did much to advance the story. I'm really looking forward to the live action story.

The anime film was great. The series filled in so many answers to questions that I had about the characters. The movie looks impressive.

If anybody says this is a post twilight movie, then obviously they' re dumb and dont deserve to have a word. Twilight is a love story with beautiful people (some who smell bad) and try to be hip cool vampires with all the romance. Even if youve never seen the anime, how can this trailer make you think you can compare this to Twilight.
Ive seen the anime, both the series and the short movie. This is not about beauty, romance, or whatever, its simple. You got things that want to eat you, and you got one person who enjoys to kill the things that want to eat you. And at leats they have fangs unlike twilight, I dont even count them as vampires those Douches...
All im asking is, like it or hate it please please dont compare this to Twilight, thats just a straight up low blow.

Is this the "Last Vampire" before or after Blade? Vampire vs bloodsuckers... sounds like a familiar theme that's already been done pretty well. I'll see it though... like the vampire movies...
