That's great! The article cracked me up when Summer said she'd like to play normal just once. I've always said that about her. She's a great actress but she always plays "odd characters". I wish Sarah Connor was coming back, but if not, her being on Dollhouse could be good too.

It'd be gr8 for her to play a new FBI (or other US govt agency), but this time on the opposite side of Penniket (sp?). Since our ol' FBI buddy becomes technically a new "handler", it'd be great for him to clash with his old boss and its new agent.

I'd also like to see some Summer Glau vs Elisha Dushku kung-fu fighting. GAH!!!!!

I agree on casting Summer as something totally new, but on the other hand (and not completely off the subject), can't you see her playing X-23 if they ever decide to go in that direction in any future X-men movies? X-23 personality is in the exact same vein as both River and Cameron, not to mention Ms Glau has an uncanny resemblance to the young mutant. Hint, hint, guys at Fox and Marvel!!

I think Summer played a fairly "normal" girl on The Unit, right? Just a little morally challenged.

She definitely played a pretty normal role in The Unit. Well, she was human anyways. I never watched Farscape or whatever that other show was but it sounds like she wasn't human.

thebonafortuna, Summer was previously on Firefly, then The 4400, The Unit, and lastly Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. It is only in the last one that she played a non-human. But she was never on Farscape.

From the second I heard TSCC was canceled I hoped Joss would bring her onboard Dollhouse. He's loyal to his actors and he always seems to try to keep them working. I don't care what role she gets as long as its one with a lot of screen time.

Sounds great! Summer is a wonderful actress, AND she has the action moves down perfectly. Actually, I would prefer her in the role of Echo, since she has a greater range than Eliza.

that's awesome! I hope it happens, I remember the promos for when they paired up SCC with Dollhouse on Friday nights, they had both Eliza and Summer together to promote their shows. this would kick ass!

please get her on, I didnt know what to do with my self knowing i wouldnt see her next season, this would be awesome.

I think that Bones & Dollhouse should crossover, that would be so cool huh, wouldn't it!!! Yeah, I think so.

@Tinmiss, Xantari was pretty clear that Glau resembles X-23/Laura Kinney. I don't really see it myself, but he was pretty specific.

Bones/Dollhouse crossover could be fun. FBI finds a comatose active, and the lab finds out there's something not neurologically "right" with the active. Of course whatever the Bones crew think they're onto would have to be covered up pretty quickly by the Dollhouse to prevent a lasting taint to either series.

I think the FBI angles been played and might limit her character a bit since the FBI seems to officially refuse to acknowledge the Dollhouse's existence (whether it's because they're being told to or not) and only "rogue" agents take the cases ... kinda been done. I'm think investigative reporter ... would definitely allow here to be a lot more verbal. Or heck, if it's a guest spot maybe a kinda new media blogger (think Perez Hilton or a Huffington Post type more than The Wire) who somehow gets caught up in Dollhouse shennanigans.

She better not degrade herself by being on such a boring show. She is so talented and deserves better than to play second fiddle to a wooden actress like Elisha Dushku. Summer deserves nothing less than to be a leading lady on a show that wont get cancelled, and to appear on a show like Dollhouse (guarantee it wont see another season after this one) would be tragic. Fingers crossed she sees the light and avoids it.

She was pretty good at playing a normal person on The Unit, I thought. Honestly, I think she's way hotter when she's not acting all spaced out or robotic.

Summer being on this show could only enhance things..I would love to see this happen.

@tinmiss, X-23 ("real name" Laura Kinney), like every other Marvel character is pretty well document online. Check it out. Personally I think the "resemblance" is superficial, but my understanding of the character doesn't go very fanboy deep.

If Glau does make it onto Dollhouse, I do hope her chemistry with Dushku is better this time around than the forced chemistry they played in some of those Fox "bad girls" promos for the show. They were cheesey, and they knew it, and it showed. Maybe if they're doing something a bit more actorly and less shilling they might be interesting on the tube.
