Top Pup Media announced that it will release the sci-fi movie Fissure as its first project, first as a series of weekly webisodes, beginning June 15, leading up to a DVD/digital release on Aug. 11. You can view a trailer after the jump.

The company will also screen the film for free in Portland, Ore.; Dallas; Austin, Texas; and Houston over the summer.

Fissure, from director Russ Pond, centers on detective Paul Grunning (James Macdonald), who is trying to piece together his fractured life. A routine disturbance at the Ulster House turns into an unexplainable death, and all he has worked for will be tested as he must navigate a fractured reality and his own insecurities to find what's real.
