New images have gone live for the upcoming Blood: The Last Vampire, a new live-action film based on the cult manga series, which you can view after the jump.
Directed by Chris Nahon, the horror-action-thriller stars Gianna Jun, Allison Miller, Masiela Lusha, JJ Feild and Koyuki.
In the film, demons have infested the earth and only one warrior stands between the dark and the light: Saya, a half-human, half-vampire samurai who preys on those who feast on human blood. Joining forces with the shadowy society known as the Council, Saya is dispatched to an American military base, where an intense series of sword fights leads her to the deadliest vampire of all. And now, after 400 years, Saya's final hunt is about to begin.
Blood: The Last Vampire is slated for release on July 10. Click on the images below for larger versions.

I loved the anime, I hope this movie is just as good.

I loved the OVA, the series wasn't gritty enough, glad this is based on the OVA, looks absolutely fantastic, can't wait to see it.

"10 new images from Blood the Last Vampire", yet not one of them are of the demons or violence that make me want to see this film. "Hey, here's some trees, and stuff, and a guy in a car." That's ... awesome. Wise move. Totally worth a news article.

Awesome a Japanese Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Should at least be interesting.

I agree, great concept as the anime was VERY good but too short.
As Blood original used digital lie capture and animation, releasing a fight in a wood is kinda a bit lame
I agree, it's called Blood the last vampire, we want teeth, blood and a demon at least!

Don't get your hopes up for this film. I'd stick with the OVA or even the Blood+ anime series. Demons disappointed...if you've watched the live-action Death Note, then expect the demons to be using the same type of animation.
The audience reviews locally are about 1-2 stars out of 5 and asking for their time back. I'd give it 2 stars max as me & my friend got a good laugh or go 'WTH?!" watching this movie. We both love the OVA but this was not close. Luckily I watched a cheap early morning session (about $5 USD).
