New poster for the surreal post-apocalyptic animated film 9
FilmSchoolRejects has posted a new onesheet for Shane Acker's upcoming surreal post-apocalyptic animated movie 9, which you can view after the jump.
Meanwhile, a viral Facebook page has gone live for the film, featuring the film's unnamed scientist.
9 is a feature-length expansion of Acker's short film of the same name and is produced by Tim Burton, Timur Bekmambetov and Jim Lemley. The tale takes place in a fantasy world in which a band of courageous rag dolls battles for the survival of civilization. 9 features the voices of Elijah Wood, Jennifer Connelly, Crispin Glover, Martin Landau, Christopher Plummer and John C. Reilly. It opens in theaters on Sept. 9.

The character looks like a ripoff of sackboy from Little Big Planet which is a ripoff of Oogie Boogie from Nightmare Before Christmas. I'm not too interested.
Shouldn't their mission began BEFORE the world ends? I think in these times we need to look past post apocalyptic cereal goodness. If kids want to see talking grimy dust bag bunnies I'll give them acid and put them grandpa's attic.

He's telling it like he wants to; either sit back and enjoy it, or don't. No one'll force you to watch.

So, any sack looking character is a ripoff of sack boy and Oogie Boogie? Really? Never mind the fact that the original short came out well before Little Big Planet.

stealthgear, Oogie was created by Tim Burton. This is directed by Tim Burton. Circle of life? Anyway, the personality is nothing like Oogie. This film began as a short independent film and is technically a remake.

There's an easter egg in the Poster! That weird little barcode looking thing on the bottom right is a QR code! View the full size poster, I just scanned it on my iphone, it leads to a cool video with shane showing all the montsers! i can't paste the link here cause no cut n paste on iphone.. =( Can't wait to see this!
