The Russian news site RIA Novosti (via ComingSoon.net) quoted filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov as saying he's working on Wanted 2, the sequel to his 2008 summer hit, and that he's figured out a way to bring Angelina Jolie's character back, though she perished at the end of the first movie: "In July we will start preparation for the film. I think in the late autumn or winter shooting will be performed. The shooting will take place in America, India and Russia."

Oh, please, let the remake of Red Dawn fall through. Unless they plan on making the invaders radical Islamic fundamentalists, there's absolutely no reason whatsoever why anyone should mess with a classic like that.

Thank god the Akira adapt is dead!! If there was any movie I didn't want to happen, it's a live action version of Akira. The only way and the only reason to do another Akira would be as a trilogy (or actually 6 parts, but that'd never happen) of movies, to properly and accurately adapt the manga series. It would be the most expensive thing ever done in cinema, but if don't properly, I dare say it would be the most compelling and exciting piece of cinema ever.

It's going to be intersting to see Wanted 2. Will Wesley be more of a douche like he is in the comic and also became in the video game which tied into the end of the first Wanted movie. Will they un-douche him or just skip that part to make him mor likable to the audience. Hope the writers are smart and plays with Wesley's obviously conflicted and disturbed psyche.
