Um, excuse me, can somebody please explain to me why non-Americans got to see this movie first?!?! I'm guessing it's because the movie totally sucks . . . or Michael Bay is a terrorist and traitor. (And we know that he's MOVIE terrorist . . . just some stupid no-talent frat boy like Brett Ratner who makes crappy movies.)

Micheal Bay is a great American and a great director, quit trolling E

Because the world doesn't revolve around the united states like you think it does E.

Yeah, how dare an America made movie not come out in America first! oh wait! I love other countries, they hate us but what all the stuff we make first..

Britain and Japan hate the United States? Supporting staunch allies is equal to terrorism? What alternate universe do you live in?
On another note I saw the first Transformers with a Japanese exchange student. After the movie was over he was having trouble thinking of how to describe what he felt about it in English. Pulling out his nifty Japanese to English electronic dictionary he kept hitting some buttons until satisfied and then turned it so I could see the screen. On it was one word, "childish".
Keiji, my wife and I all agreed with his dictionary.

I forgot to point out that Michael Bay almost certainly had nothing to do with the release dates.
A certain little bird I have access to said that the decision was made by the studio based on the number of screens they could get on those dates.
And speaking as a Brit, who got to see it on the press screening 2 weeks ago. Yea it's childish. It has big explosions and lots of Megan Fox running in slow-mo.
It's a popcorn movie. doesn't require a brain. Could have done with some plot. And less "references" to other films... But it's watchable.
