Star Wars Spectacular! to be broadcast live from Comic-Con
Can't make it to San Diego this year to be one of the 6,500 on-site fans who'll witness the annual Lucasfilm panel presentation, always one of the most hotly anticipated Comic-Con events?
No problem!
This year, Lucasfilm is teaming up with G4 to present the first-ever exclusive live television broadcast of a presentation from the San Diego Comic-Con. Lucasfilm promises that there'll be never-before-seen footage, breaking news, surprise announcements, guest stars and more. (Though we suspect that all of G4's viewers will be at Comic-Con—so there may be no one left to watch!)
The Star Wars Spectacular! will air Saturday, July 25th at 2 p.m. ET/PT only on G4, hosted by Olivia Munn and Kevin Pereira. Joining them will be Lucasfilm's Steve Sansweet and guests from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and beyond, including supervising director Dave Filoni. Voice talent from the show will also be present to provide an insider look at the Star Wars universe, with a live table read of a new Clone Wars script.
Additionally, off-site fans will be invited to participate in the panel itself by submitting Clone Wars questions through a special G4 micro-site.

What, it won't be a 2 hour long infomercial?
I stopped going to it about 3 years ago, it was just so boring. It was basically just Sansweet saying buy our stuff over and over. Lets spend 10 minutes showing a video of video game designers talking about pixel shading.

Actually, it's going to be a 5 hr long infomercial. I've gone to it the last couple of years. Mostly it's to see the previews to the coming year and get to hear from the celebs in the panels. (Also to get some autographs when possible.)
Interesting look for Olivia, lightsabre and all. She looks much better with the "slave Leia" look, though.
