Boomer was hot & its was just a tv show, a great one at that..

By Yokozuka at 2:43 PM ON 07/17/09

I Agree...Simply the BEST, but since it´s now over, hopefully ¨Caprica¨does a good job @ that....Anyways, There seems to be a CYLON missing in ¨THE PLAN¨...(:S).....Anyone remember D´anna??...That´s right!,Lucy Lawless...She´s not listed anywhere in the cast, and she´slike one of the MOST important of the 12!!...I Hope there´s a surprise or a very good explanation in regards to that (u,u).

you re right. the end was so sucking. but nevertheless this will be a good movie.

I agree with Capt. Vomit. Horrible ending to the show and "the plan" will suck even more. RDM fraked the show midway through the 3rd season. 4th season was so bad, felt like a dark soap opera.

By Justo at 3:17 PM ON 07/17/09

The ending was beautiful and I'm definitely looking forward to this movie

90 minutes? WTF? EJO said 126 minutes...

By Muldfeld at 6:45 PM ON 07/17/09

Yeah, I think TV Shows on DVD, from where I think SCi Fi Wire got its news, is unclear. Olmos or at least earlier reports said the uncensored version was at least 30 minutes longer -- around 2 hours, compared to the aired version that will be around 128 minutes.

I'm glad others are confused. This nearly gave me a heart-attack. When I read it, I hoped Olmos' directors' cut wasn't just 3 more minutes, you know?

By Craig Ranapia at 6:47 PM ON 07/17/09

Yokozuka : Yeah, I'm missing Lucy Lawless too but I understand she was firmly committed to another project and, anyway, from what I've read the major view point characters are the two Cavils -- one who ends up on Caprica (with Anders and the Resistance) and the other on Galactica. Don't think they'd interact much with D'Anna, but we shall see,

By Noneofyourbusiness at 6:47 PM ON 07/17/09

I think it's likely that the "90 minutes" refers to the minimum version. If it's like the Razor DVD, it will have both versions.

any chance to get back on fracking board BSG is worth the wait

By Muldfeld at 7:52 PM ON 07/17/09

Found the original story in which the DVD length was revealed:

@capt vomit

If you're sill bent out of shape over the BSG ending you seriously need to get a life.

@Snake

If as you say "RDM fraked the show midway through the 3rd season" why did you keep watching and watch all the way to the end of season four? Sounds like someone just likes to hear themselves bitch. You too need to get a life.

By Muldfeld at 12:28 AM ON 07/18/09

I absolutely adore BSG, even if I think Season 4 lost some real opportunities for more complex and political and Lee Adama-focussed storytelling; I did love the first 3rd and the last 3rd of the finale, though; the action was kinda boring.

I think it's okay for Capt Vomit and Snake to hate the show -- just like I hate "Lost", but want it to all mean something after buying the first 4 seasons, which I wouldn't have done if I had seen the end of Season 4 on TV first. Or how about my rants against Abrams?

It's okay to debate with them what they don't or did like, but we don't need to personally attack them. That way, when there's something we don't like, we won't be personally attacked.

By David at 2:01 AM ON 07/18/09

only 90 minutes? Youu gotta be kidding. EJO said the DVD release of The Plan will feature more than 30 minutes of additional Cylon perspective than will air in the version that will air on SCI FI. "The Plan is 2 hours and 6 minutes long the way you're going to have it on the DVD. When you see it aired, it's going to be 88 minutes."

We want our 2 hours long movie

By Kevin at 2:52 AM ON 07/18/09

If you didn't like the end of BSG, I bet you are really not going to like The Plan.

By duke26 at 12:09 PM ON 07/18/09

to CAPT VOMIT, you have no taste at all if you think that BATTLESTAR GALACTICA is frelled, the entire series is perfect. but everybody has there differences

By yokozuka at 2:39 PM ON 07/18/09

It´s PERFECT...FLAWLESS!!!...There Hasn´t been a ¨PERFECT¨ ending for a show, ever since Babylon 5´s ¨Sleeping In Light¨...It was compelling, poetic and beautiful...I Think it deserved more recognition in it´s dramatic aspects as well, not just the technical stuff on the EMMY´s.

By HIPPIEKMT at 5:58 PM ON 07/18/09

According to EJO at the Wizard convention, they were going to go straight to DVD like Caprica.....but they wanted the special effects guys to have a shot at getting nominated for an Emmy next year...so they have to air on TV first. Due to Tv schedule & sponsors, they are showing an abridged version on TV & the real version will by on Blu Ray / DVD.....just as the release of season 4...they finally will be a 3 hour + episode, where as on TV- they split it over a 2 -3 week period due to advertisers

By Syberwolf at 11:05 AM ON 07/19/09

Can't wait for this DVD...I loved the show and while the ending left much to be desired overall the show was amazing. From what I have seen of the plan it looks totally awesome and right in line with series...

By Expletive at 1:20 PM ON 07/19/09

every one hates the ending because people have problem with any mention of a creator, so screw em, i personally love bsg's ending, and i know it to be the best ending of any scifi of all time.

By Ferdinand at 2:14 PM ON 07/19/09

Expletive,

Nope. People don't have a problem with a "creator." Many people have a problem with a god in BSG that takes all meaning from the choices characters made and the suffering that existed.

BSG turned out to be the vengeful, cruel workings of a god that wanted humans to live only his way. This god was willing to kill 20 billion humans to get 48K humans to Earth. In doing so, he allowed for the creation of the Cylons to be pawns in his game.

It's an ugly, ugly action that makes BSG less honest than the "Left Behind" books. Those books were always honest. BSG? Nope.

If you like the ending, great. But others are allowed their opinions.

We can watch the Plan and enjoy the actors but it's the knowing that every action that is being taken isn't about free will, it's part of a pre-destined plan. The Cylons and humans are just meat and cyborg puppets whose strings are pulled without them knowing it.

By Bobanort at 3:42 PM ON 07/19/09

@Ferdinand: I pretty much agree with you. I don't want to get all preachy or anything and please don't take this is such. There is a parallel to this story in some modern beliefs. It's the story about Noah and the ark. Its about a guy named Noah being told by god to build an ark and take 2 (male and female) of each critter he could find because god intended to destroy the wicked people in the world with a flood and start over. Whether or not you personally believe in this story is irrelevant, but the basic story of galactica, as you expressed it, parallels this story pretty closely. Alright instead of an ark its a fleet, but you get the idea. I just wanted to illustrate a parallel with the real life belief system that I'm sure the god in the series is based on. One could argue that Noah was a pawn, as he was doing exactly what he was told.

I didn't care for the last half of season 4 at all (story wise), but you have to admit as far as space battles go the final battle at the cylon base was awesome!!!

By Muldfeld at 11:49 PM ON 07/19/09

Let us suppose that God has not forsaken us and that the DVD includes the uncensored version that is 2 hours and 6 minutes. How can a DVD, which normally holds a little over 3 hours, fit 2hrs and 6 mins + 1hr and 28 mins + several minutes of bonus features, spanning at least 30 mins? Would this be a 2-disc set or a double sided disc? I really hope they're not cramming over 4 hours onto a disc, resulting in lower quality.

By rocketcat at 2:09 AM ON 07/20/09

The ending of BSG was amazing. It was moving, I cried in several parts.

BSG was just a story, and a damn good one at that.

That said, I can't wait for "The Plan". ;)

By Matt25 at 7:49 AM ON 07/20/09

I'm also done with BSG. I loved the first 3 seasons, but they really messed up Season 4. I haven't even bought season 4 on DVD yet.

By snake at 12:47 PM ON 07/20/09

To: TheGigaShadow and Kel,
Your telling me to get a life? Uh, excuse me, but I have a life and it doesn’t revolve around spending my time analyzing how “beautiful” the series finale was or waiting depressingly for the show to continue in ridiculous incarnations as “The Plan” and “Crapaica” Sounds like you two need to get a life...
