Josh must have brought a lot of dvds!!!!
Really a train wreck of a show, sci fi fans are crazy they only watch through sheep like loyalty to Buffy or fire fly.

By K'ssandra at 3:36 AM ON 07/07/09

Thank goodness your opinion is clearly not the only one out there!

By Photoboy at 4:52 AM ON 07/07/09

Why is it so hard to remember his name is "Joss" not "Josh"?

By Mark in St. Louis at 4:53 AM ON 07/07/09

While I'll agree that Dollhouse didn't start out strong, the first season ended in awesome!

By ZhaneEndrick at 6:54 AM ON 07/07/09

Wow, fans crashed the site to buy Dollhouse DVDs?
Three cheers for mediocrity!

By gorehound696 at 7:49 AM ON 07/07/09

worste show i ever saw.will never go near another episode of this trash.

to bad about TSCC being cancelled and this show is renewed.

By CraigB at 8:04 AM ON 07/07/09

I love the close-minded. There are a lot of Sci-Fi series that I do not like, for example Stargate, but I do not get on different sites and rag on the show or the fans. So people grow up. If you you do not like a series (Dollhouse), then keep it to yourself. As for the Joss-fans, let's keep the show alive.

By Syberwolf at 8:24 AM ON 07/07/09

Damn it, I wonder how long the comic-con edition will be available. I would hate to have to pay the inflated ebay prices. As for the show, while it did start off slow, I was drawn in by Joss, Eliza and the general premise of the show. It has promise...

By Beldaran at 9:55 AM ON 07/07/09

Dear CraigB, it's called a Blog.. where people are fully entitled to express their opinions, even those that don't agree with you.. Lighten Up.

By Leroy at 11:07 AM ON 07/07/09

We'll lighten up when all these whiners stop acting as though it's the fault of Dollhouse that the convoluted mess their precious Terminator mythology was turned into got cancelled.

Some of us just prefer thoughtful shows with interesting ideas and characters to convoluted time-travel nonsense and high-tech explosions.

By semigeekgirl at 11:46 AM ON 07/07/09

Actually, the site crashed because Fox was completely not ready for it to go live. It was 23 minutes after the release time before the "purchase" button even appeared. Whedon fans do crash things a lot, but this time Fox just failed.

By semigeekgirl at 11:49 AM ON 07/07/09

If fact, I just checked, and there're still more than 4,000 available. If the crazy fans had been at fault, surely they would have sold out yesterday, right? Instead Fox only managed to sell a couple hundred copies in a whole day. It would be funny if it wasn't so maddeningly moronic.

By AngryJonny at 1:29 PM ON 07/07/09

Thank you, semigeekgirl, for being just about the only person here so far who wrote something that actually contributed to the discussion, instead of being illiterate and/or a retread of the tired old "Dollhouse sucks; it killed Terminator" back-and-forth (and, sorry, but Terminator deserved to die, with its meandering, pointless, dull storylines and horrible casting of supporting characters).

BTW, gorehound696, "worst" doesn't have an "e" at the end of it, and nate9111, "...they only watch through sheep like loyalty to Buffy or fire fly" sounds like you're trying to compose bad poetry.

And how hard is it for SciFi Wire to keep out the spammers?! It's hard enough for us legitimate users to get through Captcha. What's really staggering is: Do the spammers really think anyone is going to click on their stupid "Nike dunk shoes" link or check out "courgarcircle.com"? Some people are really wasting more oxygen than others.

By AngryJonny at 1:35 PM ON 07/07/09

Oh... Sci Fi Wire deleted the spammers. Good job!

By kryche at 1:48 PM ON 07/07/09

Fighting over which is better, Doll House, orTTSC is like Timmy and Jimmy fighting on south park.

Both shows were weak as hell, and the sci fi genre deserves better. But both shows were also fun, and at least watchable. More than you can say for a lot of the dreck on network TV.

Doll House will improve, just like Buffy did, just like Angel did, and it's nice the Fox gave it the opportunity to. But it'd have been just as nice for Fox to give TTSC a chance to improve as well.

But oh well, thats just the way TV works, and pretty much always has. The one great thing about TV is that no matter what gets canned, something new and exciting always comes along eventually.

By kernel_thai at 2:14 PM ON 07/07/09

The Quibbler strikes again! If the headline says "pre-orders soar" then hows about some numbers. SItes crash for lots of reasons. Syfy tabloid tactics r almost as annoying as the worthless captcha.

As for the Dollhouse DVD, I wont be buying it because of the T:SCC. The show has potential but needs to get darker if they truly mean to explore the premise. They must be really worried about sales to come out with a special edition.

By trevorb at 8:42 PM ON 07/07/09

oh look dollhouse was on the chopping block
must have been a crap show to face the axe
just like firefly thay axe it with out giveing it a go but as soon as thay hit dvd sales go off the chart maby the wankers that axe all theirs type of show should think about it and relly see of we like the show by seeing how the dvd sale go be for thay go axeing stuff

By scoob958 at 9:50 PM ON 07/07/09

While Dollhouse wasn't great I thought it was a hell of a lot better than that boring @ssed TSCC

By Tarc at 12:08 AM ON 07/08/09

As I've said about twenty times on this site, the old-fashioned ratings system doesn't capture most of Dollhouse's audience. And, frankly, anyone that didn't like Dollhouse was unlikely to have seen epsiodes 6-12, which were the ones reflective of the actual idea and premise of the show (Fox execs lorded over the first 5 episodes and they, hence, sucked). The last six episodes were pretty damn great scifi! The fact that the DVDs are selling like hotcakes is just further proof of that.

By Kinichi at 1:32 PM ON 07/08/09

LOL, Joss Whedon the website crasher...

By reickh at 4:49 PM ON 07/08/09

To Tarc;

I did watch Dollhouse from the first episode to the last and I have to disagree with you on the last 6 episodes.

3 were poor to average, 2 were okay to not too bad and the last one was just bad. Of course that is my opinion and I am sure that some will agree with me, some will not.
