I can't wait to see Voyage of the Dawn Treader. With what's been reported with the loss of profit between the first and second movies I hope this one does well enough for them to keep making them. At least until the Silver Chair, which has always been one of my favorites. I wouldn't mind if they didn't make A Horse and His Boy though I always thought that one was boring.

I just hope they don't mess up the story they way they did with Prince Caspian. Dawn Treader is a wonderful story, and if it's done right it will be an incredible movie. We don't need to have the beauty and wonder of the story removed to be replaced by bad digressions and repeating trebuchets.

I hope that Dawn Treader is better than Prince Caspian. I didn't "feel" Prince Caspian the way I did the first movie. When I saw the first movie it played out exactly the way I imagined it when I read the book. Prince Caspian fell flat and was a big disappointment.

It would be nice if the went in sequence and they hard started with book 1. Unlike the Star Wars series, the stories were already written and well known. I think that many people were looking for the stores to progress like the books.

They ARE going in the real order, Patriots Fan. The books being reshuffled into chronological order was only done in recent years, by a hanger-on who has inserted himself into the family's affairs.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is significantly less magical if you know why there's a street lamp in the middle of the forest, etc. The Magician's Nephew works best to explain the magic later on.

Here here, Grendel. Great observation. Let's all give Lewis a little bit of credit, that he just MIGHT have known what he was doing in writing the stories they're traditionally in.

I don't know if C.S. Lewis meant to write them in that order from the beginning or if he just decided to do a prequel to explain things later on. Either way, Grendel is right. Narnia is far more magical when you step into the unknown world and then get explanations of its origins later on. I would've hated to see the series of movies start with The Magician's Nephew.

Some things are classic for a reason...
