At the Edinburgh Film Festival, just a few weeks ago, Darren was asked about Robocop, and stated that he had no involvment whatsoever, but refused to be drawn on what his next project might be. I was in the front row for his talk, and he's a lovely guy!

What's that another reboot? I should become a writer and get paid for just making whats already been made. Maybe the whole "end of the world" at 2012 is really a massive universe reboot?

SciFiFan: I love your 2012 theory! Brilliant and hilarious!
But I really don't care for Aronofsky's films, so I hope he truly isn't involved in a new Robocop.

RoboCop reboot, totally unnecessary. They may be able to improve some of the FX but they will never improve on the story and no one will ever be able to play Robo they way Peter Weller did. It's a classic, and it's perfect the way it is. Instead the Hollywood writers should concentrate on coming up with something we haven't already seen.
