Am I the only one who thinks this movie is a bad idea. Seriously, I don't even think kids today even know what The Smurfs are. I remember I hated the cartoon when I was a kid. Hollywood is officially out of ideas.

opps, sorry, meant to say .....I'm NOT saying it's a good idea, but I have a 4 year old that loves watching the smurfs on cartoon network, though he likes the snorks even better.

You know I can't for the life of me figure out who would be a good Gargamel. If it were Tim Burton directing it, and let's face it, a Time Burton directed Smurfs film would be the coolest thing ever. Well Johny Depp would be perfect. But unfortunately we have the Scooby Doo guy.
