No corpse-eating robots or dragon tanks?

No corpse-eating robots or dragon tanks?
The Dragon Tank

As the United States wages two wars, dismaying news is breaking about the military's preparedness to deal with its enemies, foreign, domestic and extraterrestrial.

First off, remember those flesh-eating robots the military is developing?

Turns out the Fox News report was a bit exaggerated, the South Florida Business Journal reported:

A Pompano Beach-based technology company has been forced to deny rampant rumors that it is developing a "flesh-eating" robot for the military.

Cyclone Power Technologies (Pink Sheets: CYPW) issued a news release on Friday that said: "Despite the far-reaching reports that this includes human bodies, the public can be assured that the engine Cyclone has developed to power the EATR runs on fuel no scarier than twigs, grass clippings and wood chips. ... Desecration of the dead is a war crime ... and is certainly not something sanctioned by DARPA, Cyclone or RTI."

Then came reports, mainly in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, that President Obama had dispatched an aide to shut down the NEST program in which the military cooperated with the giant Autobots against the ruthless and rapacious Decepticon menace.

Now comes news that yet another forward-thinking military project is getting the ax, as reported on The Onion, below.

What next? Will Prime Minister Gordon Brown shutter Torchwood?

(Note to the humor-impaired: These are jokes and not meant to be a comment about President Obama, Prime Minister Brown or anyone else.)

Hillaious! I watched this on Around The Net on ATOS two days ago. "Kirate wasn't learned in a day" lol

"Fox News report was a bit exaggerated", what really!? I'm shocked! Aren't they the very pinnacle of unbiased news gathering? There is no journalism in Fox news come on, they're like "reality" television, there's no reality there.

OMG you made an incredibly mild joke about Maximum Leader Obama !(That you think it necessary to add an explanation for the humor impaired is only further evidence to the media groveling that goes on when this prima dona is discussed is so telling!) You will be cast into outer darkness forever.

Hey rtavi... nice example of being humor impaired. In the future, when someone is referred to by that term, you can assume that they mean you.

FOX NEWS =
Opinionated, Unfair, Judgmental, and Best Fiction Network in existence!

Hey, caiusslupus... nice example of being humor impaired. Maybe you need to take lessons in recognizing sarcasm...

As for M and JT, Fox News is the most balanced news station on. You're just used to all the other ones being so far on left field, it tips the scales beyond recognition. If you disagree with me, fine, but try being a bit more balanced yourselves before you start judging...

@M and JT....Yeah, that is why FOX has the highest rated programs in all of cable news. Sell your liberal bs somewhere else please and allow at least an unbiased POV to reign on these boards.

Yeah Tacky ON, popular=truth. Has it occurred to you that maybe Faux News has high ratings is that liberals are more inclined to get the conservative side of the story than vice versa? Just like how you talk about "unbiased" after using the phrase "liberal bs".

AMO; the other news networks aren't that far left field. They just seem that way consider how far Faux is to the right. Maybe you weren't paying attention during the previous presidency. Which network do you think is more inclined to praise a VP for swearing when asked an honest and reasonable question? Which network was more willing to hold Bush to the letter of the law and not pull the "ends justify the means" line? Then tell me who's unbiased.
