Could Tim Roth's Abomination return in a new movie?

Could Tim Roth\'s Abomination return in a new movie?

Tim Roth, who played Emil Blonsky/The Abomination in last year's The Incredible Hulk, confirmed that Marvel has made overtures to him about reprising the role in future movies, possibly including the upcoming Avengers film.

"They have, but in a very different way," Roth said in a group interview at the Television Critics Association summer press tour Thursday in Pasadena, Calif., where he was promoting his Fox series Lie to Me. "I don't want to get into it, but they signed me up for three [films]."

Could that include two more Hulks, one Avengers and one Hulk or just two Avengers?

"It could be anything," Roth said in response.

Marvel has said that its upcoming Avengers film will feature Iron Man, Thor and Captain America once they are established in their own film franchises. Other Marvel characters who have films under different production deals are less certain.

The Incredible Hulk did end with a scene of Iron Man's Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) approaching Gen. "Thunderbolt" Ross (William Hurt) about the team he's putting together.

For his part, Hulk's Bruce Banner, Edward Norton, has remained tight-lipped about his own involvement in the Avengers mashup.

The Avengers is in preproduction with an eye to a planned May 4, 2012, release.

Am glad I loved tim roths performance in the Hulk and felt the reboot was excellent, they got the right people to do the right job.

The only issue is if The Abomination is back theres no need for the actor ?

I feel it maybe the same case for Avengers no need for norton although would be fantastic having him provide the science/techno aspect and when all else fails they need the most powerful force possible in the hulk.....

Either way would have prefered another hulk film to establish the Avengers a bit more.

I liked newest Hulk film, but I thought The Abomination was way too big! Maybe they could work of that for future films.

If Tim Roth/The Abomination might make a return for The Avengers movie, I wonder if Tim Blake Nelson/The Leader will be the central villain. The last shot of his character, Samuel Sterns, in The Incredible Hulk was of him just beginning his transformation.

remember when the abomination was first introduced he was twice as strong as the hulk. banner had to drain the abomination's strength so he could fight him as the hulk.In a later comic I think it was the ravager of worlds which was basically a mouth floating in space. He gave the abomination back his strength. It took a super pissed off hulk to beat him.I mean drool hanging out of his mouth where he almost made abomination crap in his shorts. They could do something like that in the next movie minus the ravager of worlds.

Yeah agree hulks rage should make him stronger so he can take on the abomination, would be nice too see the leader + abomination together taking on the hulk but I think if anything it shouldnt be the main plot since we had that already in the 1st film/ We definatly need another foe and perhaps more linkage to iron man/Avengers....

Masters of Evil Maybe???? I love the idea of cross pollination. Incredible Hulk was a good film. Add some of the deleted scenes I saw on the DVD and it becomes a masterpiece. Bring on The Avengers!
