Final Destination 4 tops weekend box office
The Final Destination debuted as the top movie of the Aug. 28 weekend, taking in an estimated $28.3 million, the Associated Press reported. Turns out the much-hyped horror face-off with Rob Zombie's Halloween II wasn't much of a contest.
Final Destination took over the top spot from Quentin Tarantino and Brad Pitt's World War II saga Inglourious Basterds, which slipped to second place with $20 million. The film raised its total to $73.8 million after 10 days in theaters.
Rob Zombie's Halloween II, meanwhile, opened in third place with $17.4 million.

It is the same film over and over just watch the first or second one again. Because their is no resolution, no body to cheer for how can we enjoy the film. It is beyond me how they have squeezed 4 film from the idea. Great if you enjoy it however it is not for me.

Either shows that there were too many people bored this weekend, and wanted to throw their $$ away on garbage, or that the combined IQ of moviegoers is in fact on a decline. :D - KH

this movie shows that people are puppets and go watch what they are told to watch. OOOOO go watch someone get decapited by a highly improbable act of fate.......

ha! Halloween is a much better film. the problem with the FD films is that they have a new cast of characters each time, no one survives the previous installments, and plus, they don't even delve any deeper into its mythos, because its the same crap just with new people. They don't even bring back Tony Todd from the first film. I can't believe people buy into this rubbish.

Saw it in 3D and paid extra for the priv. I give it a big fat "Meh!" - Only one good surprise when dude gets side swiped by the bus! The rest was typical FD movie rehashed with cheezy excuses to use 3D animations thrown in. And the end was lame.
But at least we got 3D glasses out of it!! LOL
