Green Hornet release pushed back five months

\<i\>Green Hornet\<\/i\> release pushed back five months

In the latest in a series of major shifts affecting Seth Rogen's starring turn in The Green Hornet, Box Office Mojo is reporting that the superhero movie has been moved back five months, from an original release date of July 7, 2010, to Dec. 17, 2010.

Originally, Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer director Stephen Chow had been set to direct this new incarnation of The Green Hornet, which Rogen scripted with his Superbad and Pineapple Express co-writer Evan Goldberg. Chow was eventually replaced by Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Science of Sleep director Michel Gondry. Following that was a protracted search for an actor to play Kato that eventually resulted in the hiring of Curse of the Golden Flower's Jay Chou.

In addition to Rogen, The Green Hornet stars Cameron Diaz, Nicolas Cage and Edward James Olmos.

Uh, not exactly head-to-head. We'll see Avatar at least a year before GH.

Interracial relationships . . .
Why is that phrase used to describe unions between men and women of different ethnicities?
Would you like to experience interracial romance? Go to ******** mixedmingle.com ********

That is correct slothrop, Avatar is scheduled to be out December 18 2009 so they cant go head to head a year apart. The Avatar DVD will probably be out by December 2010.

The Avatar DVD sales will probably top the box office for GH, which sucks because I've always loved the original. Rogen and his cronies should cut their teeth on something original if they want to break into this genre before tampering with a classic. Visions of Adam West's Batman are clouding my vision.

Just pull the plug on this disaster-in-the-making already!

The main problem with The Green Hornet is Seth Rogen in the title role. I believe that will doom this flick.

One can only hope that Rogen is involved in a horrible auto wreck in which he will burn to death slowly. Oh so slowly.

Of course, this must occur prior to principal photography of the film. If it happens I will bring the marshmallows......... and a smile.
